I had a very good experience at this Lowe’s. I had a big tile job to do in the kitchen and the ladies in the back were very helpful. I was able to get everything I needed in one stop and even the woman at the checkout was very helpful and friendly.

Customer service is garbage!! First I ask her where drywall was she just said go down! Same cashier standing in self checkout grabbed my cart start ringing up my items. I never needed her assistance while the other (white) people she did not even bother to interfere with them! I’m very capable of reading and have great experience with checking out with my paid items!! I will never return!!

Lowe's in Bloomfield Township, MI, clearly doesn't care about revenue or customer service. I went there to order blinds, but after my experience, I took my business to Home Depot and spent $5,370 on blinds.
I initially planned to buy from Lowe's and paid for their contractor, Charlie, to measure my windows. Unfortunately, he was in a big hurry, and insisted on only measuring for inside-mounted blinds. When I tried to place my order, after looking at the first two windows, we discovered his measurements were off. I offered to quickly verify them at home, just a mile away, and come back immediately to order since the sale was ending that day, but the assistant store manager refused to let me take the measurement sheet, saying it was against policy. When I asked if she would rather I go to Home Depot instead, she simply replied, “Yes.”
So I took her advice that night and had an excellent experience at Home Depot. I got the quote on 9/24 and my blinds were installed by 10/10. Home Depot's installer, Robert, was meticulous and efficient.
Additionally, Lowe's corporate offers no way to email or message them, which further reflects their lack of interest in customer service.
The women in the Lowes blinds department, Star and Ewanda, were wonderful! But overall, my experience at Lowe's was disappointing compared to the excellent service I received at Home Depot from Stacey, who offered great assistance follow up.
We have Lowe's, Home Depot and Menards all within 1.2 miles of eachother, without enough business to support all three in the long run. It's clear which retailer will lose.
