Im not sure I can give only 1 star but I do think caution should be taken with this place. So for almost 6 months I had my dog here maybe 20-30 times for the day and a few overnights there was never an issue. Then about a month ago I get a call claiming about food aggression with him and ask me for tips… things seem better but after that visit I found a huge stabbing look on his back… didn’t pay much attention to it since could of happened anywhere as was about 2 days before I noticed it when giving him a bath. The next two times I took him he went from excited to go to pulling away his leash and would fight a bit to go through the door to be taken back. It was odd behavior. Then today I get a call saying it is still happening with him despite any “tricks” used. Now mind you my dog has never cared about his food being taken with me. I don’t do it but just when this was being said to me i started doing it at home (even mid eating) to see if I could get a similar reaction and never not once even when I would take it from him while he was actively eating. So this all together begs the question what happened to all of the sudden have this issue there? Leads me to believe something happened with staff that broke his trust… It even goes to the point that the previous overnight I asked for a nail trim and they didn’t do it. I wasn’t charged but it definitely was asked for in the pre booking online. He is a very high energy dog and I think that some of the staff just didn’t want to deal with that. They claim he had high anxiety and maybe with too many dogs… but I watched him many times on cams in play area and besides wanting dogs to chase him (play) he wasn’t doing anything different than any others. He certainly didn’t look anxious or having issue in play yard.
Again I don’t know what happened but something clearly did for the shift in behavior that was happening especially when I noticed him pulling away and not wanting to go through a door that he previously was trying to charge through every other time. The food aggression while I seen a video I was shown once is something that also never has been done at home even when I tried to make it happen. There clearly was a broken trust with someone and my dog there that made this change because otherwise it doesn’t make sense.
I’d very much caution anyone on this place after my most recent experiences because while I don’t know what happened it just doesn’t make sense. Also furthermore why would you take a dogs food anyhow? It doesn’t need to happen and if it does because supposedly they can’t let them play immediately after eating why not just let them out to play and take the food after they are in play yard? Seems like an obvious solution (which was one of many things I said when brought to my attention) but I guess common sense doesn’t really come in to play here? Also I have a bit of skepticism when a place talks and shows cameras as a great feature but only shows the play yards doesn’t show where your animals actually are during non play and also won’t allow (as I asked originally) anyone to even see those areas either. It just is one thing that rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning.
Sum it up… good place and facility but skeptical about certain employees may be doing when not on camera. I think generally most people care and are good there… I think the business is good too.. but I think there may be 1 or 2 “bad apple” employees there.

Thank you for being there for us pet owners. It’s such a relief to know our pets are being cared for by loving humans. My two dogs stayed there while I was in hospital and I was confident of their care.

Pro: Friendly, present workers/aides each time we’ve had our dog there for daycare (3 times now), both at the desk and taking our dog in. Our girl is a young 45lbs sweetie with lots of energy and loves to play! Love the pics sent during sniff & seek times.
Con: i was told we (the customer) cannot see where the dogs are kept when not in the play rooms? The lack of ability to see where the dogs are kept - makes me worry about what that looks like. The only other frustration is not knowing what camera on the website to check for her - so I end up checking them all.

Andy had no complaints when I picked him up from doggie day care and was quite pleased with his nails.

My Newfoundland Antonio Loves the Facility and most importantly, the attentive, experienced staff. He attends Daycare regularly there, and has Boarded there twice since May. He had a Bath before coming home after a 4 night stay and looked and smelled great! The staff are very flexible to meet all your and your Pups needs. He attends enrichment events and we love receiving the photos of him enjoying his Day. The Webcams are Great 👍

Great experience with Camp Bow Wow. They were able to accommodate a last minute boarding for our dog and even bathed him! Had a slight hiccup with a bag or two of our dog food being left behind but they called me back immediately and had our dog's food at their location ready to be picked up. Thank you!

We’ve always had a good experience with camp bow wow. We like to add the extras when our girls are there for a few days. We appreciate they are in a safe environment while we travel.

We’ve brought our dog here twice for boarding while we were on vacation. Our dog is very healthy, fully vaccinated, and has never gotten sick, but both times was severely ill after coming home from being boarded. I understand sicknesses happen, but he got so sick after bringing him home each time that we will not be bringing him back here. When we picked him up the second time, he was visibly sick and got ill all over our house which is very unusual for him. He must’ve been sick at the camp at the very least that morning but this was never reported to us by the camp.

The staff kept me posted on Bristol's stay by texting me and sending great pictures of her. I appreciate the quality personal service that Camp Bow Wow in Brighton provided, thank you.

We have only left our dogs at Camp Bow Wow twice. The dogs seem to enjoy themselves and there is plenty of staff to care for everyone. We particularly enjoy the ability to check on them from time to time via cams in the play areas. Unfortunately our dogs aren't as outgoing as some so it's sometimes difficult to spot them but when we do they seem to be okay with their new surroundings.

This camp is a great place for dogs. I wouldn't say they are the best if you really need a pampered dog. Then you should go find one of those bougie dog kennels. They have a lot of great college/high school workers who love dogs. The actual full time people are great and work their tails off making sure the dogs have a great time. They have up sell items like dog events, fur-minator brushes, and nail/both trims. The great part for the play areas is that you can check on your pooch remotely through your account. Last but not least their scheduling is really easy online and they have a call center to book over the phone.
