I LOVE Chicos. I'm addicted. Its rare I walk into a Chicos and not make a purchase. Their clothing may be a little pricey, but the quality is amazing and the selections are great. They have anything from workout/lounge clothing to office clothing to blouses and dresses that are appropriate for a fancier event. The Brighton Chicos location is large and offers their new selections as well as sales and clearance. Sales staff are so-so, but it's always worth a visit!

I purchased two Travelers dresses online, both were wrong size. I called this store (which is about 30 miles from where I live) from my vehicle, when I was in the parking lot of the post office to ship them back. I was hoping to exchange them locally for one in the correct size. Person answering the phone asked me to call back later. Then she handed off the phone to someone I choose not to name (in case this was a rare fluke of an arrogant day for her). She asked for the garment number. I told her the items were packaged and I was at the post office to ship them back but thought I would check to see if I could get the size I wanted at this location, instead. She did check, came back and said they did not have it. When I asked if I could, though, return the items in their store (of which I know the corporate policy approves), she arrogantly interrupted me and said to the effect she thought I was at the post office (continuing to chuckle through and after her attempt to what? Imply I am lying? To challenge me Ike I am her 15 yr old daughter? When I repeated my inquiry on returning twice stating I would be in Brighton the next day and would rather return them in person than pay $7 to ship clothing that does not fit, she finally said, yes I could return in the store. I thanked her and disconnected, immediately wishing I had said I would rather pay $7 to ship than shop in their store. But too bad for them because had she INVITED and/or ENCOURAGED me to return them there, I would have probably found another couple hundred dollars in purchases to make. When I worked for a car dealer, I encouraged everyone who called me to come see our complete inventory if I couldn't provide exactly what they were looking for, in hope that they would choose something I had available. That is what a good retail establishment and its management expect, since the online shopping experience is making brick and mortar stores obsolete. Not interested in shopping at Chico's anymore. There lots of great options. I will take my business to Macy's or Nordstrom.
