Bought a washer and paid for installation, but when they showed up they refused to install the washer saying they did not have enough time and left.

Being greeted and offered help by every staff member we saw was like something out of a TV commercial. Great overall experience shopping here!

I have been shopping here for several years now. I stopped in on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, in the morning to purchase a tote. My wife and I were completing our transaction at self check out. The cashier machines suffered a glitch and the card readers went down. Several staff members wouldn't help, when asked to help or take a different payment method, continued to stand firm saying, "we can not take different methods because it's company policy". A staff member who was in charge of self check out. They came over and tried to help, but when I tried to swipe my card again, and my card failed to read. This individual tried to take my business card from my hand, without asking my permission to do so. I moved my hand away from her so she couldn't obtain my card. This individual simply said, "Okay, sir I tried to help," and walked away. I'm sorry but you do not try to remove my debit/credit card from my hand without permission. I was stunned and didn't know what to say. Instead of showing frustration in the situation. My wife and I left..and went to the Howell location. I found that the Howell location has friendlier staff members, who are willing to help you in any situation. I hate to sound cliché, but I will not be shopping at this location anymore.

Went as an emergency as our fridge went out around 6pm on a weekday. It felt like 85% of there workers were on the wrong drug. (Staff where slow, confused and had difficulties multitasking) It was like a circus… stay away from Home Depot if you have to talk to an associate after 530…. Should have just ordered online..

Home Depot is great. I always find things I need. Don't really have any photos, but I did start adding some of the cedar wood. I bought there at Home Depot to construct my cat patio lions den. Catio and my handyman goes there all the time to get all the supplies for his jobs so I know that I'm used to going to Lowe's but I guess everybody seems to like Home Depot besides myself I think it's the color orange. I've never liked orange. It gives me a headache so it's not the store or any of the products. Just the color orange that's why I prefer Lowe's.

Purchased a DeWalt gas mower and warranty. Within 8 days the mower began to malfunction and was completely unusable. I called Home Depot to explain the problem and after much persistence, they refused to stand behind their products and would not extend any discount. The manager called me back and said they would refund me and then I could repurchase a new mower at a discounted price. I packaged up the mower, drove all the way to the location, and then upon arrival the customer service agent began the refund. The manager made her way to the front of the store and instead of a greeting she was incredibly rude. She knew I was very displeased on the phone and used this against me in front of her coworkers. Relying on used humiliation tactics to assert herself and how great of service she was providing. She then slipped in (after the return was completed conveniently) that once we purchased the new mower it would not be returnable. She also said they wouldn’t honor the 3 year warranty that I purchased. I remained calm and explained that this was again bad business. Home Depot provides a product , they purchase that product from the vendor and have a relationship with them. I bought from Home Depot as to not deal directly with the vendor. She said it was crazy for me to think Home Depot was to blame and all I was saying is that Home Depot provides a product and they should stand behind it and then go to vendor to deal with the issue. Not me the customer who spent a lot of money. But funny enough, I did suggest going to the vendor on the phone and she begged me not to do this. If she had spent her time hearing what I had to say, the bottom line is it’s not personal. It’s business. Home Depot asserts all the risk of faulty product. It’s not the customer duty to do this and truly shows there’s zero value in running a good, honest business. Instead they’d rather blame the customer, not take accountability and wash their hands of anything that disrupts the status quo. It’s truly unreal how they can sit there and cry poor me feel sorry for me…when in reality, I was the one that had to disrupt my entire evening to try and resolve this matter. My wife had to stop making dinner. My dogs had to be kenneled after a long work day. My lawn is partially mowed. Because she waited until after the return to mention future purchases could not be returned and not warrantable - I am now without a mower for the night. If you’re considering shopping at the Brighton Home Depot, I suggest taking the managers “advice”, cut out the middle man and go right to the manufacturer.

Asked for assistance from Carmele (spelling?) on Wednesday, July 17th.
She was fantastic. Walked over to the patio set we were inquiring about and literally talked to us like we were friends. So much appreciation for superb customer service. Thank you Carmele. Brighton, Michigan store.

Staff was very helpful, but the seed packets should be closer to the garden center instead of at the other end of the store!

I went to Home Depot to purchase some new power tools. I was hoping to learn from an expert which tools would be best for my needs. The gentlemen working the tool section not only knew less than me, but what he did know was wrong. He could find what I was looking for. He said they didn’t have it. I used my app and found it. The answer to one of my questions was, “you tell me”. DONT go here for any of your tool needs. Save yourself the time and aggravation…shop elsewhere.
