This place is a joke! They have no fraud protection, I have 3000 in fraudulent charges and climbing and the branch couldn't do anything, the help line couldn't do anything, they said I have to wait till they posted to fix it, can't talk to anyone on the weekend to fix the issue! I canceled my debit card and more charges posted after it was canceled. They wouldn't cash my shit cause of it, now I can't pay power bill or car insurance cause of it oh and not mention I can't buy food for our kids cause they won't cash our work checks. As soon as this gets fixed they can fuck off, I'm closing my account and going somewhere else

I’ve been with LT for years and have never had an issue. Every branch that I’ve used has been incredible! Very friendly staff. If random things come up or I’ve needed help with something they are always nice when you call in. Highly recommend!

Pretty nice temporary space. It’s in a bit of a weird spot but the signs pointing to it from the front of the parking lot make it much easier to find when navigating the brook side mall complex. Tellers were nice and the space is clean.

I've been a member for roughly 6 years and I regret switching to here from my previous bank. You go negative, and unlike other credit unions and banks, they charge you $32 PER DAY for being in the negatives. You add money to your account before you get that charge? Too bad, they're still gonna take it. They don't care about their members if they do this. I would understand if it was a one time thing once you got to the negatives, but everyday? That's ridiculous! I'm closing my account here and switching to my old bank.

If I could give this financial institution a zero I would. I went to the ATM last night after work to deposit $230, the ATM malfunctioned and spit back $15 at me and kept the rest. $215 that I made at work that day. I needed it in my account to pay bills the following day (today). I was unable to contact anyone since it was 8:23pm. I woke up at 845am so I could be the first to call when headquarters opened at 9am. Basically long story short, they are not crediting me my $215 and I have to wait 10 business days to see if I even get MY money! I spoke with a supervisor and then a manager and no one was of any sort of help to me. The only positive note is a very nice woman at the Howell location who was advocating for me to get my money to the customer service workers. I WILL be closing my account once the dispute is settled. I have banked with Lake Trust for over 5 years and this is the most absurd thing.

I've had so much difficulty just trying to make lake trust credit union credit card payments through the app. Sometimes the payment would go through, then sometimes it would be reversed and I wouldn't know. So, The last time I called and told the lady my problem and made a payment over the phone. That payment was also reversed. Then I went into the Grand River office and had great service by Fran who actually called the credit card people and found out it was a glitch in the system. Now, I'm waiting for a refund on the late fees that I should never have been charged. It's all very frustrating. Wow, just wow.

From the moment we opened our first account the people at Lake Trust have been super friendly and helpful. They helped us secure a loan to consolidate debt and we’re always responsive to questions we had and any help we needed. They treat you like they know exactly who you are and have been friends for years. I love this place and am so glad we switched from big old Bank of America.

I first found Lake Trust when financing my very first vehicle almost 4 years ago. I turned their way and I will never turn back. They always answers my questions to the best of their abilities, always polite and kind. When I was in a bit of a financial slump (even more so then as it was the holidays, ugh.) and they were incredibly understanding. They were able to help me through some things and always offered advice. They're just so easy to talk to, especially during such a vulnerable time, it put my other credit union to shame. I closed my other credit union account when they were less than willing to help me out and SHAMED me for financially struggling. Even my dad closed his account. I only bank through LTCU, and now my boyfriend does as well. They are the only lender I have used and continue to use going forward. Their kindness and compassion has gone a long way in my family.
