Went in here and no one said hello or anything so I said hi and they blatantly ignored me. Everything is overpriced for a place that give someone 3 dollars for Aeropostale. When we left still no bye or thank you. Overall unprofessional attitude and definitely not good customer service.

Some items are still very pricey for being second hand. Some good deals though.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews but my experience was very frustrating. I dropped clothes off and they gave me the time of about an hour and a half - Which is understandable. I planned around that time and ran the rest of my errands, and about 2 hours later I still hadn’t received the text that my clothes were ready. About 2 and a half hours later still no text so I go inside and check to see what’s going on, and they say they’re waiting on the manager to review. So I shop around the store for about another 30 minutes before I get the text, waited 3 hours in total when I was told an hour and a half. They need to be more transparent with time and I overheard another customer complaining about this as well, so I’m sure there was plenty of people who were told an incorrect waiting time. If I knew the waiting time would be 3 hours, I would’ve just come back another day.

Honestly if I could I would give them no stars..I would. Each time I’ve been up here to sell clothes (4 times by the way) they never except anything and lie about stuff having stains. I always clean my clothes before heading up there & double check everything to make sure for no stains. I would highly recommend not wasting your gas & time at this place. Really don’t know how they have a store filled with clothes when all they do is say no and I don’t ever bring cheap dingy clothes so I don’t know what their problem is truly.

With the exception of my daughter finding 2 pills in her new/used fanny bag she bought there today, and the store clerks not being very friendly, they do have a great selection of items. It may not be your favorite job right now, but a smile and great attitude goes a long way! 😁

Great assortment of clothing and accessories. Good prices and friendly staff. The air freshener/plug in smell was just too strong in this store for me to shop.

I came in with a basketful of very like new clothing, all nice brands. I noticed several older women in store shopping, not just teens or twenty something’s. All items were bought and in style, the girl looked at me with disdain when I picked up my basket. Kept rolling her eyes at me and looking at me like I had no sense of fashion, or a clue. She was young, and said “we do not accept bold patterns, and “only teens and twenty something’s do we really cater to”. I felt discriminated against and embarrassed”. It was horrible because I had a new friend accompany me there who was in her late 60’s and said she had shopped there. The girl went on to say “we also do not accept business clothes”. The way she kept rolling herceyes at me felt awful. I have been to stores, I had my own business’s; and that is NOT how you do business. Will not ever go there, and I wish the owner was there. I would fire an employee who acted like that. It claims to be a vintage clothing store; & it isn’t. Just snobby workers with a horrible attitude. Both girls there had ZERO sense of style. Neither one even washed or combed their hair. They looked dumpy. Not because I judge folks like that; but purely because of how they treat people. Plato’s Closet must have changed. I know they are franchised but for any clothing store to say “we only cater to younger women” is not just discriminatory but flat out rude. I even put in a gorgeous Grey coat, on trend, never worn, and bought before Christmas this year and did not wear it. I will find the owner. I will report this. And write an article for the newspaper. Perhaps they might like a visit from Chanel 7 (ABC) news too.

Great experience hear, wonderful workers and great quality clothing. The only thing I have a problem with is that Lululemon is over priced same thing with some other brands. Otherwise great store to get used clothes at, they are usually in good condition.

Tried to sell gently worn cargo shorts and was told they were too stained, ripped, and generally don’t sell well at that location. The shorts are practically new, with a “lived in” distressed look from the manufacturer. Only one pair was missing a single button. None of them were stained or ripped either.
However, my wife and I found multiple sweat stained dresses and clothes full of dog hair. The men’s clothes were pretty rough too. A lot of the shirts were old and pretty worn. Also, they didn't have a single pair of cargo shorts.
Overall this place is like a Salvation Army for uppity Brighton folk. Also staff seemed to be the nose up type.
UPDATE: They claim to have shown me the stains in their response and did not do so. The items we bought were out of necessity not out of want. My wife was 36 weeks pregnant and needed clothes to hold her over and could not afford over priced maternity clothes that she would wear for less than a month. My opinions of the store still stand. The people who run this place will NEVER admit fault. Great way to run a business.

I don't understand all the hate. I buy and shop here pretty regularly for years throughout my teenage years up until my young adult years now! Who doesn't love a good bargain? Especially in today's economy. The girls are usually very sweet. And have been nothing but kind with comments like "oh you have the best stuff! We love when you come in!!". I'll admit I love shopping a lil too much. But secondhand is my way 2 go without completely breaking my bank.
It costs nothing not be a jerk to people. These are literally JUST teenagers and college KIDS. Would you be happy if someone shoved clothes they've had since 2016 in a garbage bag that has been sitting in their car or garage for weeks and made you go through them while being stared at like a hawk and yelled at Because you didn't want anything? Because that's how alof of these reviews are acting. You never know what someone else is going through, so don't be a d-bag.
People clearly don't know how to read their selling process. Cleanliness and kindness go a long way. If you want to make cash don't be a pain in the a**. This store targets current trends for young adults a teens. They obviously don't want things that doesn't sell to their demographic. They do their best to cater to all styles and trends and are friendly to everyone.
A marshalls bag costs 99 cents across the street use that instead. It's probably cheaper than all the garbage bags you rip and waste basically throwing at these girls.
So thank you to ladies at the Brighton Plato's for keeping a clean, stocked and fun store❤️? your kind smiles and good music is appreciated

Very rude been coming to Plato’s for years and I mean years and was never rude to people ask people questions yes but never rude and Kim told me I could no longer sell here cause she skipped me and took the customer after me and then I just said to the lady that the boxes wasn’t mine and called me condescending. Very unprofessional if someone has been giving problems for a while you tell them you don’t be loud and kick them out of the store.
