The worst post office I have ever experienced. I've lived in Brighton ten years and not one single time have they been able to complete the task they are given.
We travel and our mail needs to be stopped at times. Not once have they been able to correctly do this. Mail will continue to get delivered, THEN it will stop a week later. Mail is lost and it's a debacle trying to find it.
Our mail lady destroyed our mailbox when she decided she was too lazy to walk to the extra 35 feet to our door to drop off a package. She decided that shoving it, when it very obviously wouldn't fit, into our mailbox breaking our flag and taking the entire mailbox off its nails. The post office said they couldn't do anything but speak to her.
We have now had our mail forwarded to our new house and they can't even do this correctly. I have wedding RSVPs that are floating in space somewhere because they told us that we'd "need to keep checking our old mailbox for stuff that 'didn't get caught'". DO YOUR JOB!!!!
EDIT JUNE 25, 2024:
WE STILL HAVE NO MAIL!! You continue to tell us that our mail is in Toledo, yet no one in Toledo seems to have any clue why you would send forwarded mail in MICHIGAN to another state!! Several people have explained that there is no reason on this Earth that our mail being forwarded from Brighton to Michigan would go to Toledo.

Went during walk in hours on a Saturday to apply for my passport. I work full time and can’t schedule an appointment during the week. The employee behind the counter said the person who does passports is on vacation and they “dropped the ball” and didn’t get someone to come in for her.

Chris from the front desk was very willing & friendly in helping with my bulk mail business transaction at the back desk. He also made the passport process easy & fun for my husband & I last year and has always expressed a good spirit while being very knowledgeable. His work colleagues have always been helpful too.

I don't understand why the horrible service is and has been allowed to exist. This is pure insanity. Lost mail, delivered after 7 pm. Carrier has the worst work ethic as well. Hard to believe immunity has filtered into the post office. This has been going on for years. Enough is enough.

Breaks packages routinely and shoves them into receptacle so you can't even turn the key. We live in a condo area. I have ring video of them throwing a package CLEARLY labeled fragile onto our porch today and you can hear it break. it was too big too fit in our satellite locker but they forced it in anyways. Mind you this is a reshipped item we barely got out of the lockbox last week. It was broken both times. Sorry our business is such a burden to you.

Received such wonderful service from the Brighton, MI post office. Accidentally left some personal information on the counter and they placed it in an envelope to mail back to me! Awesome, thank you!

Went there for a return I had printed the label and they told me it was cutting off the top and I needed to go to the library nextdoor to reprint. Went to Pinckney USPS and they taped it and shipped it same label.

Hasan is my Favorite counter cleark! He's no nonsense, Fast, and always knows the best way to get a package where it needs to go without overpaying. This post office has a 24 hour kiosk/drop for shipping postage, or stamps.
