I am planning on leaving this CU. I joined in 2019 and this is my last year. I have issues with from loans to the app. I joined Michigan FDCU recently and had a bankruptcy in 2019 and they gave me a loan, thinking that I asked what I thought was my greatest chance with CFFCU, to only have them deny me twice. I don't know where they are getting their information on giving out loans but I am going to close my accounts and leave asap. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Been doing my banking with them for about 5 years now, and I have never had an issue. Would have given them 5 stars if their ATM machine wasn't down so often.

Fast and easy to use their ATM. I really like the fact that I can get withdrawals in $10.00 increments.

I used to LOVE this CU. Some of my now adult kids have already left and others have been begging me to switch for years. I have realized my loyalty is to my detriment. Their app doesn't work a large percentage of the time and that causes me to not be able to move money into the appropriate accounts after hours to cover ACH payments going out. They never have manager call me back as promised when I call about this and have started charging me overdraft fees when it's NOT MY FAULT the app doesn't work. They have ONE BRANCH that is 40 mins from where I moved to over 10 yrs. ago. When you have ONE BRANCH, YOUR APP NEEDS TO FUNCTION. My kids have been stranded in other states without being able to move money to their checking so they can use their debit cards. And the new team of employees seems to know NOTHING about anything. It's sad but I'm leaving as soon as my beginning of the month auto-pays come out. I have been a member since National Steel FCU, over 20 yrs. My brother, who brought me into the CU left almost 10 yrs. ago for some of the same reasons. Awful technology. I hate to say it but I don't think Community Focus is going to be around much longer. Essentially stealing money via fees caused by not having an app that allows you to move money around after hours. Then arguing that I should have moved the money two days before the ACH's instead of the day before, as if I would have known that the app was not going to be working or as if that's acceptable or my fault. No better than the unethical big box banks, therefore I have ZERO reason to stay with this CU.

Bank manager has nasty attitude towards customers. Not your kind and friendly neiborhood bank at all. The manager up there told me that she was the highest number I could get to report something. She said no number existed to report something or someone just with a rude attitude. Come to find out there are numbers listed online to reach out to sombody. I think the owner or higher ups need to no about this lady and how she acts towards customer's.they need to do something about her or I'm taking out my money and closing all accounts.

Branch manager waited till AFTER 11, so 11:10 ish with a full parking lot of people to open the doors to let people in. She has horrible customer service. And makes up policy's as she goes on.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service.i opened a account when other people worked there. People that wanted to help there customers. The branch manager has a horrible attitude and will lie to your face. If you want a friendly bank where you feel welcomed don't go here

This is an absolutely fantastic credit union. If you have bad credit and looking for a way to start over, this is the place. I filed bankruptcy years ago and that's usually a door slapper when applying for anything, especially a loan. This credit union gave me a chance. Not only did they give me a loan ( with coborrower), but it was a car loan. The finance charge was fair and there was no penalty for paying it back early. After paying back the first loan, I was able to get almost any other loan I needed after that (no coborrower needed). My credit score went up and things got a lot better for me. You get six free withdrawals a month at their atm and then it's $1 fee per withdrawal after that. A maximum daily atm withdrawal limit of $600. Go inside if you need more. You have a choice of overdraft protection so no overdraft fees unless you want them. This place can't be beat. My last loan was a large one, some things happen financially and I am no longer working and was unable to pay it back so that's on me. I'm dealing with those consequences. I still will recommend this credit union to anyone, especially those looking for a chance to start building credit. They also have a $1500 credit card that you may apply for if you don't want a loan. You only accumulate interest on purchases and the rate is very fair. If building your credit is important to you, this is the place to go. Trust me when I tell you, there is no where else like this. Also, the staff is awesome. The ecorse branch is closed indefinitely, but the Brownstown branch is still open. The ecorse atm is still functional as well. If you do go to the Brownstown branch, the drive thru is awesome, quick and friendly. They do alot of help over the phone and via email as well. FANTASTIC PLACE!

Need to be open longer in the evening or early in the morning cause I work the same hours as the bank. Can't get here very often to do banking.

My boyfriend banks here and they don't know a thing when it comes to banking.He's gotten multiple money orders from them and they always bounce back. That's not a him problem, that's a you problem, Community Focus.

I have been with Community Focus for over 30 years. I am sad they only have one location now but their customer service have really been less then desirable. I have been trying to call several times and Jessica answers but put me on hold for more than 20 minutes at least three times, never returning. And when I leave a message no one calls me back. I know they must be short staffed but this is a facility that holds my money to live on and I can’t get any help unless I make the long drive there. Just to say Jessica sounds VERY overworked.

Overall 4 stars for the years of membership and overall experience, but if I could rate according to each service, the drive thru line would only have 1 star. This is not the first or second time I have been waiting in this drive thru line for over 25 minutes. Today there was a line backed all the way to the entrance because only one lane is open. Each car has been waiting at a minimum of 5 minutes for the tube to return to them after they send it. 10 minutes for the car in front of me. I know someone who desires to work at a bank if you need more people.
