Can't say enough about how much work they have done on this course.Greens and fairways in great shape. Tee boxes need some work. Great price. Staff is the best. Nice challenge for any golfer.

We started golfing 18 holes at 3:30 in the afternoon. We finished on the 17th hole at 8pm due to the six person line at each hole we played. They overbooked this course like it’s about to go out of business, which it should. They had there own club house workers driving around the course and playing the holes that they wanted to. When we confronted them, they happily moved to the next hole where they would cut in front of the next group. These are workers of this golf course. When we went into the club house, the manager or older man there didn’t seem to care much. He said he was sorry they were “really busy.” Maybe don’t over book the course, That’s your issue, not ours. I paid $45 today for the worst round of golf of my life, and I golfed good too. I do not recommend this place, even if it was the last place on the last day of summer and you paid me to do it. Triple thumbs down ?

Good prices, guy in the pro shop was friendly. Tee boxes need a little work but everything else was great. Good course if your a beginner or just want to have fun.

The most ghetto course I've been to. Loud music blareing, greens full of unrepaired ball marks. Tee boxes that are just dirt and way, way overbooked, trash blowing down the fairways. There are cheaper and much better courses in the area. I'll never golf there again and would only send my worst enemy there. Avoid this place at all costs.

Unsupervised teens were doing so much damage drafting/crashing Carts. I totally got that is summer and they want to get fun playing a round… but we all play in the same field that shouldn’t be allowed.

The Bruce Hills golf course is located near 34 mile rd and Campground road(dirt). The golf course is par 70 with a mix of short and long holes. A lot of the fairways have a slope, with either a side hill or downhill lie. I would have been better off had I reviewed how to play uneven lies before going to the course. The greens are small but in good shape. The things that need to be improved are the tee boxes. The tee boxes were full of divots, and finding a level spot was difficult . Overall, I would recommend Bruce Hills, but the tee boxes need work.

I am not sure when this course started to go downhill but it has. There are some really fantastic holes but the fairways and greens are in much needed TLC. Aside from the course do not try and play on league night REGARDLESS what pro shop or online times show. I do not know if the leagues play extra holes but you will be backed up on every tee box. And when you are not backed up you better keep your head on a swivel for all the errant shots flying at you. I use to think this and Heather Hills were pretty much the same in proximity and condition. Not anymore though. P.S. I am not some golf snob that has high expectations. I am simply giving you my opinion that this course will no longer be on my list when seeking out a tee time.

Fair price for the course. Decent elevation changes and has some challenging holes. Slow play, tee boxes are in rough shape but solid fast greens.

Last time out here. Teenage rangers who are scared to manage pace of play. Slowest golf course around, would rather go to Maple Lanes and play on those dirt fairways over this. Be prepared to spend 3 1/2 hours per 9 holes.

Saw a nice deal on GolfNow, decided I would try the place out. They fail to mention there’s an outing of college kids backing up every hole with nearly 4 groups. It took almost 3 and a 1/2 hours to golf 9 holes. I decided to ask for some money back or a 9-hole voucher (some courses offer this), but I was denied. I ended up leaving at hole 14 where there was 3 groups in the fairway and another 3 waiting. My tee time was 12:16, I finished hole 13 at 5:20 nearly, 5 hours which probably would have turned into 7 if I were have finished. Ridiculous will NEVER be back. Highly recommend other courses, I would go to Maple Lane before I choose this again.

Fun track, not too difficult. Fairways and greens were inreally good shape. The teeing grounds are in need of some serious TLC, however. Overall, it is a great value, friendly staff and and very reasonable priced food and beverage.

Course Review:Bruce Hills a Vargo Golf Company course.First time playing here.Condition:This course was in great shape for being where it is. The grass is about 2 days over in need of mowing, however. Some jagoff took a Divot out of the 13th green.Layout:The front 9 is somewhat tight when it comes to hole by hole layout. But the back 9 opens up a bunch. Lots of hills to be had here, thus the name Bruce Hills.Leave your drivers at home here, unless you are exceptionally skilled and hit it under 270. There are several par 4s that are reachable with your fairway woods and driver. But you would be better off with an extra wedge or iron/hybrid in your bag vs. a driver. For instance, I hit a 7 Wood off the 10th tee (played 248), and i ended up on the fringe. The one thing i will say about this course is that the greens are small and they have a lot of slope to them. Any spin at all, and you're pulling out the wedges at greenside. Think of a pancake on top of a baseball at the top of a ski slope. Rough around the greens is thick, so good lies are minimal, but imo that's a plus. Greens were a tad bumpy and slow for mid-May. An extra mowing day can easily fix that.Staff:They were exceptional from the proshop to the beverage cart girl to the restaurant.Overall:The pace of play was slow today at 5 hours 15 minutes. The price was in line with conditions and staff atmosphere. I'm a regular at their sister course Golden Hawk, and I'll be back here again as well.
