I offered to supply hard-to-find parts for an old project car. I offered to negotiate and allow them to cut out the old parts. I offered to send him the parts numbers to confirm compatibility. Shop owner screamed at me for offering this, because quote "he wouldn't be able to warranty the work if he can't supply the parts"its a project car my guyjust wanted to pay you for your work, but clearly you're in the business of marking up parts

This guy here is terrific, we were the classic family up north on vacation with a vehicle breakdown at 3pm on Friday afternoon. He graciously dropped everything he was doing and got our vehicle in his shop and started working immediately to get us back on the road. He even had to make a trip up to Traverse City to get the parts. His shop is clean and he's very knowledgeable. The price he charged was a better price than I would have got for scheduled work around my house in Lansing area.

Hauled our camper up to the Traverse City KOA for the weekend and experienced some shuttering from my truck on the way up. Arrived at the campground shortly before 5 on Friday and quickly found out that Mike and MPS Automotive was the only place open the next day. So at 10 to 5 I called and was able to tell Mike the issues I was having and he told me to bring it in first thing Saturday morning and he would squeeze me in. With only one vehicle with us, Mike was kind enough to drive me back to the campground and then was able to come pick me up again just 2.5 hours later after he was able to diagnose and repair the luckily quick fix. Can’t stress enough how truly genuine and helpful was. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!Service: Check engine light diagnostic

Last year we took our convertible in to have it looked at for what we suspected to be catalytic converter issue, car was “repaired” and after picking it up it had started having new issues within the first 24 hours. Mike had us pay out of pocket to have the vehicle brought back to him. After further “repairs” we picked our car up, but yet again lights came on the day we got it back and the next day broke down AGAIN. We paid a second time to have the car towed to Mike & since it was fall and he had other projects he agreed to store the car at no cost and finish the repairs in the spring. After calling for nearly 2 months asking when the car will be finished, he tries to charge us an additional $700 to the nearly $1,900 we have already paid him. He then says he made a mistake on a part and will drop the cost of labor, therefore charging us $587. After driving the car roughly 25 miles into Traverse City, our battery light comes on so we stop at AutoZone to have the car code checked and find the alternator is now faulty, although there was never an issue with it when it was first brought in and after it had been in his care throughout the winter. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND MIKE OR MPS AUTOMOTIVE FOR ANY AUTO REPAIRS.

Great customer service, my oil change was a good price and they also did additional things for free, like my windshield wiper fluid and checked my tire pressures.

Mike is trustworthy, through and incredibly knowledgeable. He will present you with honest and accurate solutions meaning your vehicle is fixed correctly the first time! As a woman, I have never been price gouged or misled by a false diagnostic claiming my car had additonal problems. I have always left feeling educated and confident that my car is being maintained by THE BEST!

Needed to have the gas tank and fuel pump replaced on my 2016 F150 and thankfully I went to the right place! I cannot say enough about Mike's professionalism, knowledge, and experience. His attention to details and thoroughness gave me the peace of mind to get on the road with confidence. He does not take any shortcuts and ensures everything is done to perfection. Finally found a place I can fully trust. Highly recommend.

Great shop for all our company cars needs. We don't have to worry about anything with Mike. He is a true master technichian and delivers every time. Our vehicles travel across the country and whether it is routine maintenance or a repair, my team is always confident in the vehicles reliability. Once something is repaired, it is good to go and never needs revisiting. Trust MPS for all jobs, big or small.
