After visiting here today , I am reminded of why most of the shopping that we do is online. We approached one of the older fem employees with a question. She was pushing a cart, as we approached she took a phone call. We stood there patienly awaiting the call to complete and while still talking, she totally ignored us standing there in front of her and walked away pushing her cart. My wife and I looked at one another in amazement. Once we made it to the lawn and garden dept to check out, she was asked to open up a second register by the nice woman who took care of us and the first lady copped an attitude, invited us over not too happily, we said no thanks and invited the lady behind us to go on over. Employees like this are surely the reason that brick and mortar stores are dying. I truly miss LOWES across the street and wish it would have been this Home Depot locking its doors instead.. Oh well on to Menards next time.

I made the mistake of shopping for a zero turn mower at this big box store. The delivery of the mower turned out to be what ruined this experience for me. I WOULD NOT recommend purchasing a mower that needs to be delivered from here. Though it is advertised on line that "white glove delivery" comes with the purchase of many models of mowers, apparently this isn't included on mowers purchased in store. The delivery service you receive will be far from "white glove". The John D

We are done with the Cub Cadet so the wife and I wanted to go look at John Deere mowers today and we were seriously looking at the E140. So first stop Home Depot in Burton. Wow, I guess they really don't want our money (well at least our bigger purchases). We bought a portable AC unit last Friday from there and that experience went pretty well. Today was the complete opposite, don't even know where to begin. First, is their deceptive advertising. There were labeled stickers o

By the way it's 1 yr. old. They where suppose to e-mail me paperwork and still have not received. Great job Home Depot. I thought u where better then this!

I will tell you most definitely. My husband died. The checking account reads Estate of ......... Because your d*** a** company uses Telechek you make people stand there, lie to them that the system is down and you have to call it in for a person writing a check for $66,25. Try updating your system so the cashier can input the drivers license number into the CRS and the money comes out NOW. You already lost my $314 purchase for the lawnmower. I canceled that sale you didn't. Menards and Lowe's sounds better all the time after that fiasco. I won't be back to your store .

I am a former employee of Home Depot and always do my business here. After my experience of going with them for a fence install, it makes me wish I would've checked with competitors :/ I will think twice about taking my business here in the future. I have been in the store twice about this situation and have been directed back to United Contracting where I have gotten nothing but the run around for months. My fence install was supposed to be finished in May. It is now almost July and I am still dealing with these people. I am attaching my review of United below. Please do not go through Home Depot for any install if they are still using this company. It is not just me. Go to their site and there are 2 good reviews, the rest are horrible. "Wow I am very sorry to see so many others have had the same horrible experience that I have had. It's been 4 months since I paid for my privacy fence through Home Depot and I would be here an hour if I listed everything I had to deal with regarding this "Ultimate/United" company. To begin I took the day off work the day the project was supposed to start being told I needed to be there, about12 phone calls and 6 hours after they were supposed to be at my home I was called and told they forgot about it and would need to reschedule. No remorse about my lost CTO or the fact I needed to call a family member now to sit at my home to wait yet again for the contractor. The work was shotty, the contractors were coming up to my door every couple hours asking to use cell phone charges, nail were left in the yard, one day they were late because and I quote "my worker rear ended an old lady and he's on probation" Not the kind of people I want around my home. Very unprofessional. I paid $7,000 for this fence and I received the cheapest gate hardware I've ever seen. I don't know how to post a photo or I would but the contractor actually shaved down the metal for it to open and close. Ummmm no. I have contacted Dave Brown about all of my issues as well as Home Depot. The first time we spoke Dave was very sympathetic. He told me the contractor I was assigned had been fired and he would get someone out there right away to finish the job and we'd talk after that about my reimbursement. He did have someone come out and fix the fence but again no gate hardware. It needed to be ordered. Now over a month later I called back to check to see if it had come in. Again I was told jokingly I was forgotten about. I find nothing about my experience comical and feel that I have been more than understanding until this point but when I asked to speak about my reimbursement now with Dave Brown he admittedly told me he didn't remember my case and his computer was down and he would call me tomorrow and "bounce it around." So I've gone from ok to now we're bouncing it around. And it is 1:00 the following day and I have heard nothing. I am very disappointed that Home Depot is associated in any way with this company."

I recently went in to look into prices for some windows to see if I could get a better qoute then another local window dealer. I had a few custom size windows that seemed to throw the staff for a loop. Not only did the not bother to look into options in other brands that they sold they continued to try to sell me on a larger window that fit their sizing needs not my own. I found the sales person to be rude and generally ignorant of his products and warranties. Energy star codes and u factor requirement for this year have changed and he wasn't able to tell me if his products even met those standards or what the new codes were. I am not sure why I bothered to check to see if the box stores have gotten any better with selling windows.

While I usually shop at Lowe's if I'm in Burton, (Lowe's is directly across the street) I have to say that the times that I have shopped at this Home Depot, I have been impressed. For one, the customer service is much better than the nearby Lowe's. I've usually wound up at Home Depot because I couldn't get what I wanted at Lowe's or simply couldn't get anyone to locate it for me or answer a simple question. I was impressed with them when they let us get whatever size piece of wood cut to order to install a railing in the basement, as opposed to Lowe's, who told us they "couldn't cut it to specification." Huh? Baffled by that answer, we went across the street to HD and have been back several times for everything from space heaters and lighting to lumber. Prices are fairly competitive on most items and I believe they will match any competitor's price for the same item. Plus, the customer service is great. I never wander around the store looking for someone to help like I do at Lowe's.
