Love having this dollar general as my home store. It's always super clean compared to a few others located not too far from my house. I love the new updates with offering fresh fruits and veggies. Living out in Byron we're very limited to what's near if you need to just run up and grab something. Staff is great and always super friendly and helpful. Usually stop in a few times a week and I've yet to have a bad experience.

Decent prices on what they have. Would love to see some craft supplies besides the cheap ones they have.edited: they have been open for a few years now, have a different manager. The employees come and go but they have all been pretty friendly and seem to be able to do their job. I will say the Byron Dollar General is the cleanest one in our area . Employees don't just sit around. They are always busy either at the check out or stocking and straightening the shelves.

This dollar general never has what we need. It is always messy. And I don't ever get service in the building.. Would rather spend my money elsewhere and drive farther and get what I need.

100% highly satisfactory!
The employee Sara is such a friendly person! Always has a smile on her face and wiling to go the extra step to make sure you get the things you need! Literally!!
My fiancé was injured and could not physically go into the store to look at knee braces.
Sara was SO kind and offered to go inside, and look for him. She brought out the kinds they had available and let him make the choice before even purchasing.
She then finished the transaction for him and brought out his items.
We need more Sara’s in the work industry and especially the world!

I wish I caught the name of my cashier tonight (08-18-22). My husband and I were there at around 8:50pm. The only Qtips I could find were travel sized and I was looking for the normal sized box. I went to check out, and the cashier asked me if that’s really what I wanted, or if I wanted a big box. She then walked me to where the Qtips are located (kind of an odd place ?) and helped me get what I actually went there for, instead of just letting me buy something. Very friendly, very kind, and top notch customer service. She deserves recognition!

The grocery store interior itself is very cold and I can never catch any of the big sales when they happen but overall pretty great. The automatic sliding door that you typically see on big stores like these adds for a little touch of accessibility. Big selection of items like snacks, drinks, toys, cleaning products, etc. They store name-brand as well as off-brand products.
