I miss the old manager. They run off all the amazing people by not taking care of their people. I was denied doing a second $5 off $25 deal because I was only allowed one account and one coupon. I had the digital coupon for one deal and my printed receipt coupon for my second deal. They refused to check me out. They said their district manager said they couldn’t check people out with their own paper coupon if they used their digital one already. The old manager was amazing and took care of her customers and staff only to be rewarded with working all the holidays and not spending time with her children. The old manager would never have behaved this way to a customer.

Dawn is such a joy, simply amazing! She is so welcoming, its refreshing to come here and see someone so happy, and interacting so positively with the customers! You can really tell she likes her job- thank u Dawn !!!

I went to the Dollar General on 68th street in Caledonia. To find just 2 balloons for a haircut client of Mine. She has very severe cerebral palsy and her favorite thing is balloons. So I went inside on my way to her house and decided I would get her a couple of pretty balloons. The lady that helped me. She told me her name, but I forgot it. Unfortunately at this point. She gave me the balloons for free.She thought it ⁸was a wonderful thing that I was doing and she would cover the cost for them That was such a sweet thing to do , and that's a way of paying it forward

They make up there own hours they are supposed to be open until 9 pm and I went there at 6 one day and was told soon as I walked in we are closed and to leave then went there today they are supposed to be open from 8-9 but there doors are locked and says open at noon -9

I was just told to leave the store as soon as I walked up to the register with what I was buying. When I asked the lady who seemed to be in charge why she would not give me and answer and threatened me to leave. I then asked the other employee why and she gave me a look implying she had no clue why either.All in all the store was filled with trash and entire boxes of product were all over the ground.

Today I witnessed a vendor get belittled, talked down to, and just downright disrespected by the woman who seemed to be the 'manager'. The vendor just wanted to get his job done and move on with his day, but the woman insisted he didn't do his job correctly. I felt so bad for him because she was so rude and condescending. The lack of professionalism on the manager's part really rubbed me the wrong way. If she acts this way in front of paying customers, imagine how she treats other employees. I won't be returning to this location.

I had applied for a position at a Dollar General location within Grand Rapids but the manager saw my application and asked if I was interested in an interview but the location was way out in Dutton which is off the bus line which is my mode of transportation. I wanted to see for sure where it was located and it was way off the bus route for me to get to. Sorry.
