I have been with this storage unit for almost 9 years and the rate never went up. I can understand going up some since then but in the last 2 years it has gone up 3 times.. once $5... then $10 ... and now $13 for one of their smallest units I am paying $78 a month. Just a couple of years ago I would recommend this storage unit because they have been nothing but good to me, now I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. They rate they keep raising the price per month I will be paying $200 dollars a month for their smallest unit. Needless to say they have lost my business and will be looking elsewhere and I think you should do the same. Save yourself the headache and every 3 months you will get a rate increase.

Save yourself the headache and rent a storage unit elsewhere. I’ve had a unit rented for a month+ and haven’t been able to get through the gate without calling. I always have to call and speak to an agent. I’m always reassured their IT department is looking into this issue. I’m always given a temporary code that “will work” for 7 days, but it doesn’t. It’s a big inconvenience and isn’t worth your time or money. There’s plenty of storage facilities to choose from. I’d start there.

Customer service is useless. Most of the time they hang up on me when i ask why things are not getting taken car of. Gate has been open for over 2 months, allowing anyone to enter without a code. Red Dots response was "well at least you are allowed to access your unit since we locked the gate in the open position." Concrete is cracking and sinking in spots going into units leaving gaps under the doors, they don't seem to care when i mention that either. They also keep raising rates to current customers by large percentage increases, twice in the past year, while a newly rented unit of the same size would be $60 cheaper per month. The driveway is in very rough shape, snow removal was nonexistent last winter, whole lot was glazed ice.

The actual storage sheds are quite nice and when ordering online the staff was amazing and very helpful - world class… HOWEVER the property / driveways / gate area is shambles / unkept and without black top drives / clay - gravel driveways - massive pot holes —- my vehicle / camper / shoes / flooring in my car are filthy… no way around it with that property. For the price you pay and the competitors pricing less than a mile away … Red Dot needs to re evaluate the cost of their storage units and or be very up front in property description and pictures of the property.

68th St Caledonia locationPro:- Customer service was great.- web interface was convenient and user friendly.- full refund was given for the troubleCon:Rented a gravel parking spot for trailer. Arrived at facility to find overgrown weeds and grass throughout all spots. The spot they issued me was taken. Same with the second spot they issued me.

My unit has been broken for 2 years now I have scheduled 2 appointments to get it fixed the representatives that supposed to meet me at the property has not showed up both times and then they tell me that they'll just cut my lock off so I don't want to show up again and then I have to buy a new lock myself out of my pocket but yet they still never even showed up to do that appointment so there's 3 appointments that they never showed up to Very poor customer service need to have a representative on site at all times I don't know how many times I've drove by the storage unit and the gate has been up broken so then my property's not secure anybody can enter the property no not happy with them very very unhappy with

Called and called phone number to get information and a quote, at varied times for 3 days figuring they were just really busy and weren't able to answer calls, I finally gave up, and called dutton storage (a further distance away)to get a unit to store a bed mattress and a console with a 40 inch tv/stereo/cd- record player combination, they answered on first call, I signed for a 5x10 unit online, got confirmed and gate pass code, took items to store, unit was trashed filthy inside, had to clean, mop, and deodorize, plus put mouse poison down before leaving my items in it, even then, I put the mattress into not 1 but 2 heavyduty and waterproof mattress bags, and onto a 2x4x8 platform

I had to make a phone call to their customer service to set up a new lease for a unit. The Rep that I spoke with was super helpful, very detailed, very effective. The interaction was perfect in every way. Good people.

Used southside for the past year with no problems, until red dot storage bought them out.. They left no information about the new owners and how to pay bill online. The option to pay isnt there, when i called the new number the slow woman answered and couldnt figure out how to find my unit, i emailed bryan on the first to have my payment taken out and havent heard anything back. Late fees better not be added after the 5th.
