What an incredible place...steeped in history, this place had so many awesome pictures, artifacts, and memorabilia from the last century and the early days of hockey. You could truly spend all day here! I would love to come see a game here sometime! If you love hockey, you need to visit!

This is the birthplace of American Hockey. You can smell and see the history all around you in this arena. It is a landmark that was built in 1913 and the oldest operating ice arena in North America. There are not many old barns like this.
The Calumet Colosseum is unique. It is a great place to watch hockey. This is Hockeyville!

I'm here on an almost daily basis for classes and clubs/events, and I have no significant complaints on the ice rink itself, but there are longstanding issues with plumbing not working. Toilets and sinks often don't work on the first and second floor, and the locker room showers have little to no temperature control as well. The latrine situation seems to have been fixed to a great extent, but not completely. Otherwise, it's a great rink, and the upstairs ballroom is very useful.

Home of Hockeyville should have invested some money into the broken handicap lift by the front door. Hads't been right in years. Dissapointing for those who want to enjoy the game but can't.

I went to watch my granddaughter skate in her figure skating show. It was a beautiful show, the girls all did a super job. The problem was how cold it was in there. I don't know if they even had the heaters on but by the end of the show, I was freezing. What a shame to have a lot of our senior citizens to be sitting for 2 hours in the cold.
