I can’t even describe how much I appreciated Jon! I was 8 and a 1/2 hours away from home and was out rock hunting when my car started shaking and engine light was flashing. It was around 730pm with his business closed for day , but I choose to bring my car, was going to leave a message and walk to a hotel. He happened to still be there and came out to talk to me. He not only gave me a ride to the hotel but he fit my car in the next day. I knew he had a lot on his plate, but he made it work. Absolutely a wonderful person and recommend his business all day long! Thank you so much!

While camping at fannyhooe I noticed my front right tire low on my motorhome, so I added air so I could check next morning and yup low again so I knew I had a issue.
I looked up superior and we were heading to Houghton that morning so decided to stop at superior to see if I brought my motorhome by the next morning when we depart fannyhooe if we could fix the issue.
I stopped the next day, they pulled the wheel to find a bad o ring on my metal valve stem. Replaced the o ring , rebalanced , reinstall and back on the road in 40 minutes! OUTSTANDING..
Really great guy, somebody you could have a beer with friendly, dont hesitate to stop best service around.

We pulled into Superior Auto at 3:00 PM with a leaky tire, and John went out of his way to quickly find the 8 penny nail in our tire, plug the hole, and get us on our way. John and his wife treated us like friends, and I highly recommend their shop!

Great shop and service. We broke down on a family vacation and the owners really stepped up to make sure they did absolutely everything they could to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. From tracking down parts after hours to staying late to get the job done. They treated us like family even though we were total strangers. Can't thank you enough you saved the day and the trip for us!

John is a great mechanic and even greater person.
My wife and I were up on vacation from the Flint area. A horrible rattling noise started emanating from our car engine. We nursed it to John late in the day on a Thursday. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable discussing the issue and he was confident that he "could get us home".
Even though he really should have had no time for us (he was "2 weeks behind"). He diagnosed the suspected problem, ordered the parts, and told us he'd work on it on Friday until it was done. His wonderful wife Jess drove us and our luggage to the motel we had to rent in town.
He repaired and delivered the car to us Friday evening (working late when he should have been at his daughter's birthday). He charged what we thought was a totally fair price for replacing the timing chain. The car runs great, and we, of course, got home.
Thank-you John and Jess for rescuing our vacation!

John (the owner) and his son Ryan were amazing. I had a flat tire on the way to a Houghton appointment luckily I rolled into a Circle-K with "Free Air" and put air in which blew out immediately! So I wrestled with the jack and put on the "Temporary Spare" and...
EVEN LUCKIER, John's "Superior Auto Tech" shop was about two doors down. He was obviously busy but took the time to talk to me about options.
Ultimately he found a puncture, fixed it immediately then jacked up the car and put the tire back on. Ryan helped me put my jack, tools and spare back in the storage space (REALLY NICE POLITE YOUNG MAN). For all of that John only charged me $20...So I gave him a hefty tip and thanked them both profusely for their kindness and for dropping everything to take such good care of me. Great place, great people! Too bad I can't give them a 10 star rating!!
