Nice little business in Iron Mountain near the "North Side" packed with your plumbing, electrical, outdoor stuff, paint, nuts and bolts, you name it needs, so that you don't have to go to the larger company owned store where the people there may not have an answer to your question or know what you want. If you walk into Campioni's you will have a knowledgeable employee greet you right away and who has skills and understanding of what you need and will take you right to the aisle. I have gone in with goofy requests that I don't even know what it is on my list and they do! I love this store.

I'm giving a 5 star rating for service... Elliot was a big help in finding us what we needed to hook up a fish tank vacuum to our sink...Very courteous and knowledgeable about everything we asked of him..I'm giving 3 stars for lack of some of the connector's needed... being out of stock...

Worst service or should I say zero service. Went in to get a gallon of paint and waited at the paint counter for at least 10 minutes. 3 employees helped other customers and never said a word to me (although all three made eye contact with me). When all three were done helping the other customers they all just gathered at the door chatting. Not one said a word to me as I literally walked through their coffee clutch and left either. Go else where. They clearly don’t need or want your business.

I tried to return a burnzematic utility torch, and the store manager refused to take it back,, stating that it was used. I agreed with him and told him yes I did use the torch, the problem was every time I turned it over the torch would go out. I offered to pay for a tank of gas because I used some of it, and he offered me $5 to return it. Now I paid $29.96 for the product, and to go buy a tank of the gas to go with the burner cost about 6 bucks. Now remember I had no problem with paying for the gas that I used, and planned on buying a different torch head, one that wouldn't go out when you flipped it upside down, but the manager wouldn't listen and argued with me and told me he was tired of people buying things and using it and bringing them bringing it back. He was rude and very much unprofessional. I spend a lot of time working with tools, hardware, and much more. I will never spend a nother dime in that store when a person like him is called a manager.

Update: I am updating my original review and giving 4 stars. We have since then been to the store and have had good service and answers to our technical questions. The customer service has improved.Originally I was going to rate as a 1 star but I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt and a chance to improve - We had the absolute best service last summer when we rented and purchased multiple items for a major home project. The staff at the time seemed passionate and knowledgeable. We highly recommended this store to everyone because of the great service we received every visit.Fast forward to this past month - I’ve been in the store multiple times and have had to look up many answers myself and feel like the current staff doesn’t want to be there or try to be much of a help.There have been many times I have called ahead to confirm they have what I need or questions about a product and every single time I’ve been transferred to multiple people and once I finally get to someone who can answer my question - they make it seem like I’m the biggest inconvenience and didn’t bother to ask any further questions about what I need or even look into if they have it but would acknowledge that they did indeed carry it. So, once I arrived to grab the item that was confirmed - I couldn’t find it and was told that they didn’t carry that item or it was out of stock.I really hope the service improves because we love this store and I couldn’t believe this experience wasn’t just a one time thing.
