Probably by far one of the WORSE vets I have ever been too and I wasn’t going to leave a review but I am extremely irritated with this place and how they operate. For one, all they care about is MONEY and if you don’t have it, they won’t help or work with you. They refused to do my cats surgery AFTER I was told they would and recommended that I euthanize my animal instead. For two, I paid for the instant credit they offer and I fell behind on a few monthly payments but I still have a credit of $400 on my account and 2 free vet exams but they are refusing to refill my cats medications because i’m behind a couple of months even though I still have a credit on my account. Now my cat has to wait a whole month to see his regular vet and be uncomfortable over a few bucks. Inhumane and absolutely terrible. I am done with this place. Don’t bother replying because I don’t care.Do better, everybody isn’t rich and life happens. ✌️

I will admit I was very nervous at first. You always hear how the veterinarian is extremely expensive. But canton vet is awesome. The Dr and nurses are very knowledgeable and they all love animals of all kinds. I will definitely recommend canton vet to everyone I know.

My dog hurt himself over the holiday weekend and had us worried. I called and was able to get a same day appointment despite not being an established patient yet. All staff were very friendly and explained everything thoroughly - including his x-rays. Prices felt reasonable and were less than I was anticipating to pay. We'll be returning with both of our dogs in the future!

Tech was very reassuring and addressed every one of my questions. Doctor was very thorough, I really appreciated getting to see the X-rays as well. I really appreciated the service provided by all of the staff. Although it was costly to perform all of the various diagnostic tests, it seemed clear that if the cost was too great the antibiotics could be prescribed as a likely solution. However, I was grateful to have the peace of mind knowing we hadn’t missed anything. After my visit, the doctor called to share the test results. As I played the voicemail, his first words were to inquire how my cat was feeling. Again when I returned the call he asked me how she was. Having had many pets over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by his concern for her wellbeing. It seems it should be obvious, but this basic compassion seems to be a rarity in my experience.I later realized another of the doctors at this practice had worked at another animal hospital in the area many years ago, when my dog was a puppy. This doctor was also exceptionally kind, even supportive of my raw feeding plan over a decade ago when every one told me I was crazy. Since he left that animal hospital so many years ago, my furry family has bounced from one vet to another, always looking for this exceptional level of service again.

If I could give zero stars I would. Our concerns were dismissed and unfortunately our puppy passed away suddenly. Our other puppy was taken here for an exam and the vet did not do a thorough exam!! He simply checked his testicles and wouldn’t answer our questions without rushing us!I would advise you to take your pets to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital where they ACTUALLY CARE for animals. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Dr. Dhaliwal, Dr. Vig, and their surgical team at Canton Animal Hospital saved our kitten’s life. Eva was having increased respirations at about 5 months old, turned out she had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This is a hole in the diaphragm where organs are able to migrate and limit thoracic space for her lungs to expand. She was no longer able to play for long and would start panting. She also had one episode of cyclic vomiting. Her vet at the time found the hernia on X-ray and recommended that we seek out specialty care for surgery, as this is a specialized surgery that is only offered at few Michigan animal hospitals. I was quoted anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 at several different facilities in the state of Michigan, and even one in Ohio. We simply could not afford this…too late for insurance. Time was passing and her condition was getting worse. We did an echocardiogram with a cardiologist to make sure it was not her heart that was causing an increase in her symptoms. At the time, it was suspected that the hernia was involving the pericardial sac. Luckily, her heart was not affected. We were still in a very desperate place- she needed surgery and she needed it fast. I must’ve called over 20 different veterinary clinics hoping that someone could perform this surgery and I discovered Dr. Dhaliwal. Dr. Dhaliwal has a very apparent passion for surgery and has a calming, kind demeanor. He sat with my husband and I for a while, explaining the procedure and the risks involved. He stated that it is a very complex procedure (regardless of no cardiac involvement) and that, frankly, she might not make it. She needed to be placed on a ventilator during surgery. The success of surgery was dependent on the organs involved and the extent of adhesions, increasing her risk of bleeding. We had a sense of peace from him and we decided to go ahead with it. We couldn’t see her suffer and we did not want to eventually have to put her down. The surgical quote was a fair price, less than any other price I had gotten. They have a surgical room equipped with a ventilator, EKG monitoring, and all instruments needed to perform this surgery. It was a tough surgery. Dr. Dhaliwal had to remove all of her organs, repair the hernia, and place them all back carefully. Turned out she did not have a right kidney or a right horn to her uterus. He was also able to spay her during the procedure. She was sent home the same day on antibiotics and pain medication. Dr. Vig is a great vet and is very knowledgeable. He explained her post-op care and has a really awesome bedside manner. They make a great team. We feel very comfortable speaking to both doctors as they both show the utmost care for our kitten. Of course, the recovery was painful for the first few days. After about two weeks, she was her crazy bengal self again. She was assessed one and two weeks post-op. We did an X-ray at two weeks and everything was in place and is healing beautifully. We cannot thank Dr. Dhaliwal, Dr. Vig, and the entire staff at Canton Animal Hospital enough. I’m so glad I somehow came across this clinic and Dr. Dhaliwal. We plan on staying there for all of her future care. Eva is now seven months old and should have a long life ahead of her. We are forever grateful.
