Disappointing. Store closing and only 40% off. Not worth it

I went to Joann fabrics because of the sale. After the cashier was finish ringing my order, I let her know that I was using a gift card and cash. She let me know that they were in bankruptcy and no longer accepting gift cards. I explained that I had over $50 in gift cards that I paid for. She said she could not take gift cards. I spoke with the manager who explained the same. I asked how do I get my $50 and both said they didn't know. So consumer beware!

Joanne is not what I remember it. The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in a fabric store. I went in to get some simple ribbon. The ribbon I was completely cleared out and I went over to the storage boxes not a single one tagged! The lady at the register you could not understand and she was very, very rude! The man two people in front of me was trying to give her his email and he gave it to her. He said John and then before he could even finish what he was saying, she cut him off and said no I need your email and he said ma’am I’m trying to do that. He repeated himself she cut him off again! He said if you will just be patient and slow down and listen I will give it to you, but you keep cutting me off. He was actually kept his school because I would not have! I will not be back to the store. It’s the dirtiest fabrics I have ever been into in my life. Nothing is where it’s supposed to be. There’s not a price on anything.

Took advantage of a sunny winter day to visit this store for the first time in several months. Before I get into the dissatisfaction, I would like to mention the two employees working: Julie and the cashier (I failed to get her name). Both were very pleasant, and they deserve 10 stars for keeping such positive attitudes while working in such a disorganized mess.
Upon arriving, the parking lot had few cars, and an unexpected and unusual eerie silence inside (no music playing). The rest was shocking. The store used to feel welcoming and inviting; today it looked like remnants of a poorly organized garage sale.
The entire store was in disarray. Boxes were stacked throughout the store, shopping carts with everything from shelving hardware to assorted merchandise were scattered about the store. Empty shelves, merchandise in the floor, aisles blocked by boxes, expired sale signs and Black Friday signs presented an undeniable emptiness.
Even the small shopping carts were too big to access the aisles because of the mess in the floor. Customers using crutches, a stroller, walker, wheelchair or motorized scooter would be unable to access most of the store.
Joann's used to be THE place for sewing and crafting, a "happy place" for customers and employees alike. Now, frame shops are closed, classrooms are closed, most of the registers are closed, and, now, boxes of stock remain closed. Perhaps it's time for all the stores to close.

I visited the store Today for return I have two big glasses trees they cannot fit in the same cart so I hold one and I put one in the cart after the lady in front of me ready to leave I put on on the side of the cashier table to refund in very loud impropiate way the cashier she was Indian shout she is not done yet to put your stuff she said in a way I hope I film I was afraid and shock it I said why your roud and loud and she started to talk in very aggressive way never see in a cashiers in my life and I didn’t do anything wrong just putting my stuff on the table I talked to her because I was so sad she embarrassed me in front of people in the store I talked to the manager after and she was very nice she told me she is always like that so I wonder why the keep somebody like her in the store because it’s effect the store

I used to love shopping here for fabric and papercraft supplies but recently, the store has become a mess. There are a lot of stacked boxes, dirty floors and the boxes block the aisles, making it hard to browse the shelves. Prices are not updated and many items I want don’t have prices. When I try using their app to scan, it doesn’t show anything. It’s also hard to find someone to help. A few times, I had to wait in long lines at the register just to check a price, which wasted so much time. They really need to be more organized inside and make it clean. Adding a price scanner in the store would also help a lot.

They don't ever have anything in stock and won't help you see if anything is in the back (online it shows stock). It's gotten so bad that we went for two things from jewelry/beading today and their bead wall had maybe 20 strands of beads - over the entire wall. The things we wanted showed plenty of online stock but none were out on the floor. Went to see if an associate could help us and was told basically to deal with it because they couldn't help us if it wasn't out on the floor. Didn't even offer to get someone else to help or have us talk to a manager about the issue or anything (We were directly told there was no one to help when we asked). It's not worth going to this Joann's, just go elsewhere instead of wasting your time.

Not sure what’s going on but I have tried a few times over the last couple of months to find things and the shelves are empty. How do you stay in business if there’s nothing for anyone to buy? I have been trying to find beads and they’ve been empty for what seems like months. The poor workers seem stressed, I’m sure corporate has something to do with that. It’s retail, how could they not?
To whomever is in charge, please make the proper changes needed so that I can shop my LOCAL store.
Oh and maybe have IT look at the app? When it does work it doesn’t find half of the items I try scanning and when at home it tells me to use less filters when I have made one click, example, fabric. Haven’t done anything other than that but I should use less filters?

The shelves are empty, there are boxes strewn blocking paths. They seem to desperately need employees
