I visited Lowe’s today, Wednesday, January 16, 2025, around 3:15 PM. I went in specifically to purchase an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. I knew exactly what I was looking for — the brand, the purpose, and the general details of what I needed.
When I arrived, I approached a man working near the cashier area at the far end of the store. I kindly asked for his opinion on which type of mod box I should get — whether one with drawers or one that opens from the top — to stack on top of my boyfriend’s existing tool box for his electrical tools.
Rather than offering guidance, he looked at me like I was completely lost and dismissively told me that I needed to know the brand. I already did know the brand — I was simply asking for advice on the style or configuration that might be most practical. Unfortunately, he was incredibly unhelpful and came across as rude. Then when I go to cash out with him, I was very polite with him and said “that if he doesn’t like what I picked out, I will just come back and let him pick it out” then he continues to say “well how about just take a picture and send it to him and he’ll tell you the right one to get” as he knew that it was a anniversary present.
I had gone in prepared to spend close to $400, but because of the lack of assistance, I left spending only around $80. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I left feeling very let down.

I'm writing to express my frustration with the secret shopper at the Lowe's location I'm a frequent customer of. For the second time, I've noticed the same individual following me around the store, making deliberate eye contact. This behavior is unacceptable and makes me feel uncomfortable and targeted.
The individual in question is a young Black male wearing a red shirt and headphones. I want to emphasize that I'm bringing this to your attention because I value my experience at Lowe's, but this kind of behavior undermines my trust.
If this happens again, I'll be forced to reconsider my business with Lowe's, including closing all the credit cards I have with the company. I'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with someone from the corporate office. If you're willing to set up a meeting to address this issue, please reach out to me. My name is Mike

Lowe’s at 15 & Gratiot – My Trusted Outpost for Domestic Glory

It is not just a store—it is my headquarters for every project, inside or out. Whether I’m building, fixing, trimming, or tinkering, this Lowe’s has become my most trusted companion. The aisles, stocked with potential. The air, humming with possibilities. The smell of lumber, my cologne of productivity.
And then there’s the staff. The unsung heroes in red vests.
They don’t just point. They guide. They nod in knowing approval when you reach for the right miter saw. They steer you gently away from the caulk aisle when you look dangerously unsure. They are sages in a world of socket wrenches and seasonal décor.
When I’m seeking my next power tool—my Excalibur for whatever battle lies ahead—I know someone there will help me choose wisely.
Projects begin with inspiration. But they succeed with the right place, the right people, and a strong cordless drill.
Lowe’s at 15 and Gratiot, you are my fortress of function, my cathedral of craftsmanship.

I have always had good experiences at the Gratiot Lowe's! I always look for my guy Tom who helps me with everything I need! I'm a senior and still love doing Diy projects!!! Tom has never steered me wrong! I've never had any issues with any of the employees!!!❤️

Holiday weekend only one cashier at self checkout with about 10 people in line. No staff to be found. Store manager needs to do better.

Found all the materials I needed, though there is so much stuff on display in the aisles it can make getting carts down them difficult .

Having a fence installed. Two separate emails from this store stating the delivery date and time window. No one shows up. Installer tells me delivery is not for another two months. Lost 4 hours of pay. No one at this store is taking responsibility, only passing the buck. Never doing business with them again.
Lowe's, don't bother with your canned apology to this review. No one is buying it anymore.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I waited 3 month for special ordered doors and they came visibly damage. So bad that the installer did not want to installed them. Now have to wait another 2.5 months again. After this we are done lowes.

Karen magas are alive and well at this location. I asked an associate today where the vacuums were and literally had THREE employees following me around to make sure I paid for the vaccum. The profiling is beyond stale AF. Especially when you're so uneducated that you consistently miss the mark. If you all are having that many issues with theft, id revisit your approach. Absolutely pathetic. Will NEVER shop here again

Been shopping at Lowe’s for years, but the last few times I’ve been there. The only option has been self check out no cashiers to check you out. I will never ever under any circumstance ever stop at Lowe’s again as long as they only had the self check out option.

This location is nice. The employees are helpful and very nice. Selection is amazing.
