Dollar General in Chesaning provides everyday essentials at affordable prices, including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal items, paper products, and more from trusted brands and private labels. The store sells alcohol, tobacco, and produce, and customers can save extra with the myDG program. While the staff is generally friendly and helpful—going above and beyond, such as assisting over the phone and fixing issues—some challenges exist. The store can be messy and prices are sometimes higher than labeled, which can be frustrating. Customers should check receipts carefully. Overall, it offers a convenient shopping experience for those looking for basic items at low prices, despite occasional store and pricing issues.
There's a new manager. Earl. He is great! Very friendly and competent. He brings a new vibe to a long troubled store. All the stock was put out! Amazing!
