First off I go to alot of thrift stores but my Dad warned me not to go to this location but I was curious…well, he was right. I found an item I was looking for but the price was retail, I asked the cashier “is there anything you can do on this”…and got a nasty “what do yo mean is there anything I can do on it!?”…”I mean could you take a dollar off?…I can get this new online for the same price…”I can’t change prices, only a manager can do that”…”Ok, is there a manager?”…Manager comes all the way up front to tell me no they can’t even take a dollar off…I mean w/ the time invested on both our parts and you can’t give me a dollar off? I mean I just wanted to feel like I didn’t pay retail for a used item and I didn’t think Salvation Army was a retail store…isn’t that the point?…to get second hand items for less than what they cost new?…all other locations have been kind and reasonable, and yes…they will usually give discounts on flawed or worn out and/ or not working items. But not this store…be forewarned, they can get nasty.

Workers are not friendly. Asking for a price on an unmarked item, is not appreciated.

That store is overpriced and the parking has no lights. It's really dark over there.

So the kid working the donation station out back made me unload my own car! Right in front of the sign that says "please remain in you car".I'm almost 70 years old and he just stood there with his arms outstretched. Maybe 18 years old and he couldn't bend over to take the stuff out of my back seat. World, you in TROUBLE!

The older slender man in the back accepting donations needs to be a little less rude. When I asked him if they accepted a working flat screen monitor he literally looked at me and didn’t reply, grabbed the monitor and told me I parked wrong. I had over $1000.00 of clothing with the tags still on and told him sorry for parking wrong and he still didn’t reply lol. There was no one in line this whole time. Does he not realize that his paycheck is based on donations?? That man needs to at least learn how to say thank you or goodbye or maybe find a job doesn’t make him so miserable. Geez!

Just spent $70 at Salvation Army. Would have spent another $4.99 but the young female manager refused to sell me a train set as one item for $4.99 - they had the caboose and engine marked each at $4.99 (so $9.98). Honestly given that I spent $70 I don’t see why she couldn’t have budged on the $4.99 especially since 1) it was donated to Salvation Army 2) I just spent $70 on other stuff and 3) the items CLEARLY are a set ? Disappointing

Huge store with great finds. The clothing is organized by color rather than size so be prepared to spend a while sifting through racks.

I am absolutely Disgusted by how my family was treated by your organization today. Perfectly good pieces of furniture that were more than up to your standards were rejected. You should be ashamed.

This is by far the best Salvation Army around. We drive past two other stores to shop the Chesterfield location! The cleanliness and neatness is superior to any of the other stores in the area. The employees are always busy and keep things in place. The bathrooms alone are so clean compared to any other Salvation Army we go to!

Been going for years and recently the prices have gotten ridiculously high. Might as well shop regular retail, probably better prices! Very few of the staff are friendly. Items are just thrown all over the shelves. I’ve found other “donation” places that haven’t lost their minds when pricing so adios Salvation Army.

I was in the store last Thursday and there was a very large aggressive dog growling and snarling at people. I was afraid it would come after my toddler so I put him in my cart right away. I saw another lady tell the cashier about the dog and he did nothing about it. It is my understanding that salvation army does not allow dogs in their store so why a dog with obvious behavior problems was allowed in I'm not sure.

Shopping wise, they have a larger selection and I always find very nice clothing and shoes here. However, whoever is pricing some items are a little off their rocker. I’ll see brands that are “popular”, but not extravagant by any means being marked up like crazy. Pairs of jeans up to nearly $15. I’ve seen shoes up to $40. I understand they’re there to make money, but you can go to tjmaxx down the road and get NEW clothes for some of these prices with better brands there.

I've shopped here several times and while some items are priced little higher than you'd expect, majority is pretty good price wise. The staff at my most recent visit (1 week ago) were incredibly nice and even chatted with my teen daughter assisting her in the purchasing of some jewelry. Not sure how the donations are - haven't donated there directly recently.

This store is the worst place I have ever been in, the place is filthy and nasty, everything is dirty, the clothes smell, and when I was making a donation the store manager was outside playing around shooting nerf darts at his employees, think I'll donate somewhere else
