GREAT LAKES ACE, worst hardware store I have ever dealt with, I’d give ZERO stars if I could.
The fact that this store is asking customers for positive reviews should have been a red flag.
I purchased a piece of power equipment that failed upon second use. The equipment is 9 DAYS OLD and has a 1-year warranty.
GREAT LAKES ACE told me I could not return it, because I used it.
Needless to say, we will never do business again on anything.
It is possible the equipment was not set up correctly before leaving the store. The unprofessional staff does not consider this, it’s easiest to blame the customer.
In my opinion, to avoid being scammed, nobody should do business with GREAT LAKES ACE in Clarkston, MI.

Are you kidding me? I just left this location, not addressed by one employee even after making eye contact with at least four different employees. I have worked retail management for over 23 years, this would NEVER float! Unbelievable! I asked the cashier if management read the Google, by a sarcastic young man who all but said "yea whatever" I hope they have video of it, that wise kid would have to answer to a responsible Owner/Operations manager. I worked as a Department head for ACE Hardware in Oak Park for some six years, this would be incredibly embarrassing. If you need floor help? I wish you better luck than I had.

Helpful and knowledgable people, clean and well stocked, everyone there goes WAY above and beyond to help this old crippled guy.Their employees know the inventory and what you need to complete your job and what they don't know, they'll find out.
