The staff are friendly and professional. I've only recently found this vet but am impressed. She has seen the 2 pets that were an emergency the day I called. She sees exotics. That makes her a doctor I will be using for my MANY pets.

Took my lil dude Cheeto in to Orion Oaks. The Dr was amazing. She listened to every concern, gave suggestions, answered questions and it was so nice. We talked and talked about literally everything I needed to know about what to do to take care of a bearded dragon. I’m new to this so it was so refreshing to talk to someone who knows what to do, face to face and feel reassurance about everything I’m doing. It was a great visit and I look forward to a continued relationship.

Having taken my dog here for the last 3 years I've always felt like the staff are passionate about animals, they're compassionate, reasonable, informed, and have very fair prices.

Excellent veterinary clinic! I drive well over an hour just to have my animals seen by Dr Milam, she is patient and does a thorough examination. She goes above and beyond to take care of all my animals. She and her staff are fantastic!

To say I am thankful for Dr. Milam and her wonderful staff is an understatement. My dogs and cats are my entire world and Dr. Milam is the only one I trust them with. From setting up an appointment to checking out, every time is a pleasant experience. I am just a dog and cat mom waiting to take the best care of babies. Dr. Milam and her staff always take the time to listen to my questions and concerns. She informs me of all the new meds and vaccines that come out to help improve my pets health. There is no judgement for wanting more information or declining due to cost. ( because let’s remember, insurance companies don’t fund/reimburse animal hospitals)Dr. Milam and the team at Orion Oaks makes me feel like my dogs and cats are apart of their family too, and that is top tier in my book!If you are looking for a compassionate, dedicated , and sincere vet, then I highly recommend Dr. Milam at Orion Oaks Animal Hospital.

one of the staff members there has recently made comments about “bad dogs needing to be beat” probably as a joke? but it still should not have been said. the same staff member has also got in my dog’s face and reached over his head to pet him, all while knowing that he was scared and reactive because “he’s just being a baby.” no, he was scared and could have bit you, and he was specifically wearing his harness that said “do not pet” that he usually wears when we are out training.it sucks that i no longer feel comfortable taking my pets here because the vets themselves were very nice and the prices there are amazing. they can usually get you in same or next day if it is urgent too which is awesome. but if that’s what the staff feel comfortable with doing while i am there, i can only imagine what happens when my dog gets taken to the back. and since my dog is fearful, that is something i am not willing to risk.

Last Sunday, my 12 year old and I went to Petco for dog and cat food and came home with a bearded dragon. ( That’s a story/review for another time.)Petco recommended Dr. Milam at Orion Oaks Animal Hospital as I had more medical questions then they could answer. I’ll be honest, I have not the slightest knowledge on caring for this creature. But we got all the supplies needed (Halloween costumes too!) and set off on this new adventure!Scheduling was a breeze. I was able to make an appointment for the same week. The receptionist on the phone was so sweet and empathetic to my situation. I was still nervous on the day on the appointment, just because I kind of felt stupid for buying this dragon and not knowing the first time about them, but the staff truly and honestly made me feel like a human being. The extent of my knowledge comes from my 12 year old, which mainly consists of ZooBooks and Google, and that’s not very helpful. Dr. Milam took the time to help me understand the “ins and outs” of reptile owning. Her patience and knowledge made me feel like “Bob” is in trusted hands. The technicians and assistants were all so friendly and considerate, also giving helpful tips on the side. The main point of this story is that I will now be taking all of my animals to see Dr. Milam! It is not easy to find an exotic veterinarian in the area that will actually listen to your cares and concerns and not make you feel like just a dumb mom picking up another animal.
