I received a notification from Fade to Black that my vehicle was ready for pick up. After picking up my vehicle and driving miles and miles away, I noticed that I was unable to adjust my side mirror and lower my window. Come to find out, someone at Fade to Black who was working on my vehicle didn’t reconnect the power prior to replacing the door panel. I had to return to Fade to Black immediately to have them fix the issue. This careless mistake not only created a safety hazard but a cascade of events occurred that day, in which I was late to an appointment and missed some appointments. Highly disappointed.

*UPDATE: Not even one year later and all of my tinted windows have multiple new bubbles. I would recommend going elsewhere unless you want the same problem.*
I’m disappointed with the outcome of my experience. After getting the tints done at Fade to Black, a few of my windows had A LOT of air bubbles (two weeks after). The owner agreed to have the rear windshield (the most flawed) fixed. I scheduled a new appointment and took my car back in a few weeks later, which was a minor inconvenience to me. Would be ideal if the job was done correctly the first time. But, I was just happy to be getting the mess fixed.
However, when I got my car back I noticed a a new scratch on the door that was NOT there before. I am going to assume it was from one of the tinter’s tool belts or something. It’s deep enough to not be able to be buffed out. So this is gonna set me back more than I paid to have the tints done. There’s no way to prove this, but I know it wasn’t there before. I just got the BMW in May, so I keep an eye on it meticulously. Always do walk arounds and baby the car.
Either way… for $400 (a fair price if done correctly) I really expected better from Fade to Black. Oh yeah, one of my side windows still has multiple air bubbles that’ll surely peel in a few years. I’d recommend trying a different shop for your window tints based upon my experience.

I can't say enough great things about Jason and the whole team at Fade To Black. They are clean, professional, and the workmanship is unparalleled. This area is saturated with other companies claiming they can accomplish what Fade To Black can, but those are false promises. Seriously, use these guys, hands down the best in Oakland County.

Had my windows tinted on my new car a couple of months ago. Although they matched the color good with the glare tint that was already on there, there is a couple of windows that the tint isn’t all the way to the bottom of the window so it’s clearly visible and where sun comes in. For the price I paid I would expect it to be perfect.

Just brought a very expensive vehicle the dealer highly recommended a few good places. I called them all just to compare and get an idea of who’s out there. I wasn’t in the market to settle. I know the dealer wouldn’t lead me to a bad place. Or a mediocre place. I was unsure of how dark I wanted my tints. Spoke to the owner he was polite and knowledgeable. Booked an appointment for the following week. Looks amazing couldn’t be more pleased. Very sleek very sharp. Professional work from a professional place. Thank you I look forward to doing business with you soon again.

If you enjoy keeping your vehicle looking the best, stop by Fade To Black and you'll be on the right track. I stopped by to get an estimate on a car wrap and invisible car bra for my Porches. They have the best quality and the owner answered all my questions. I look forward to seeing the finished product. They have a very cool facility and offer a variety of products to fit your car needs. I highly recommend this business.

Updated: PPF fell off and is falling off after 2 months!
Sadly I’m not at all impressed with this place. First of all when I’m called to pick up the vehicle, they PPF’d the rockers which I SPECIFICALLY told them not to do. I should have told them to remove it but instead we settled on a slight discount. Now 2 months later the PPF has lifted on and filled with dirt and the “bubbles” never came out because the surface was obviously contaminated when they installed it. Next issue I found when picking up the car is they chipped paint on the edge of my hood. They claim it wasn’t them but the vehicle was delivered to them brand new, with hood protection installed AND I visited the shop while the car was in progress and it wasn’t damaged at that time. What it looks like is they threw the keys on the windshield and it hit the hood. When picking up the car we pointed out tons of bubbles in the PPF, Tints and just really bad joints on the PPF install that still annoy me every-time I look at the car, but was told they’ll evaporate out… they haven’t. Now after washing the car a few times I’ve noticed the rear window was never ceramic coated, the brakes were not ceramic coated and only the wheel faces were ceramic coated aka they didn’t remove the wheels like they said. I’ve also noticed a number of spots on the wheels and door jams where ceramic coating was installed and not buffed off leaving the rainbow haze. The plan is to take the vehicle to another shop this fall to correct all the issues properly as I don’t want my vehicle going back there.

I visited Fade to Black and talked to Jason about a protective 3m film for my restored and freshly painted truck on the front bumper and rockers. After showing Jason photos he said no problem and gave me a price, A couple weeks later after I got my truck back from paint shop, I made an appointment, the soonest he could get me in was about 4 weeks out around May 15th. The morning of the appointment Jason texted me saying two of his employees did not show up and he would need to reschedule me, I said that I understood and no problem. After a week and not a word from Jason I texted him explaining I am very flexible and I was wondering if he had any idea of when he might have time to get me in. at this point I already wasted 1 month waiting to get my truck in, I do not want to drive this truck until I get the protective film on as I have over sized tires and I do not want any chips on the rockers. He never replied to my text, and it has been over 2 week now with no reply. I can only assume he does not want my business and that is fine but he could have taken 30 seconds to text me explaining that or anything instead of having me sit around for now over 5/6 weeks on an appointment that does not look like it will happen.
