The bank insists that they have a 7-day hold on my paycheck to verify the account. My employer has already received confirmation that the check has cleared through their bank and the funds were released, but I won't have access until a week from now for absolutely no reason, and there is nothing anyone can do at Key Bank to release the money THEY ARE SITTING ON FREE AND CLEAR into my account.
EDIT: A 24 HOUR HOLD ONLY WAS DISCLOSED. NOT 7 FULL DAYS.

This was the most RACIST bank I have EVER experienced in my life. The manager Michael J Bone was EXTREMELY RUDE AND RACIST. I had an appointment scheduled for today 2/20/24 at 3pm. I arrived at 3:03pm approximately. The manager Michael Bone said to me “yea I can’t take you, I have a 4pm appointment and you’re late”…mind you it was 3 minutes. I asked why not, he repeated his self and I politely told him “thank you for your time and have a nice day”. Once I was at the door awaiting my Uber, Michael proceeded to call the police on me for no apparent reason. Luckily, the officers even agreed this made no sense and sounds very racially motivated. I will be contacting a lawyer. If you are ANY person of color, do NOT go to this branch. Michael J Bone is the most unprofessional, RACIST, and ridiculous person I have EVER ENCOUNTERED!

I'm sorry the only way I could post in the system is to lies about given the branch a star, which the bank don't deserve. The bank have no respect for the customers. People that answer the phone are very rude. KeyBank Corporate should investigate this Bank. the staff should be fired or retrain I would not recommend this bank to one of my enemies that is how bad the service of this bank was.

Mike is trash. Branch is trash. Naw one knows what there doing and as a customer that has been lied to and mislead, bringing that to the attention of the bank manager MIKE he dismissed what I said and basically tried to act like I was confused. Said this is why I left a bad review. This man verbatim said “I figured you did!” The arrogance only a mediocre white man that doesn’t know what the word protocol means, can have. Avoid this branch at all costs.

Trash. I think I might’ve overlooked the whites only sign. Mike has naw accountability when a situation is brought to his attention and is covertly condescending. Maybe I’m dumb to him because I’m black. Who knows. I also was greeted by someone that said “what’s going on!?” As I entered the branch. Not hello, not how are you, not how can I help you… Even the token black employee they have currently has naw decorum. I’ve never really felt welcome here. Sadly this is the closest branch being 15 miles away. Looks like I’ll give the telegraph location a chance. I will say I’m glad this place wasn’t my only experience with keybank because it would’ve left me with the assertion that keybank as a whole is trash. It’s just this location so far. Avoid if possible.

Went here to get a cash advance from my Citibank crect card as I was told I could go to any bank and get a maximum of $1000. KeyBank would only give me a maximum of $500 sin ce I am not a customer of theirs! I left and went to Comerica which gave me $1000! How ridiculous. It's not even their money, it's Citibank's. I wouldn't bank here now if they were the last bank around! Shame on them for being so petty!

I was going through the process of getting a mortgage loan getting assistance from their officer Todd Patterson he told me key bank has a program called Key Community where they provide mortgage loans at 0% down and $0 pmi told me the only thing is the interest rate is 7.3%-7.5% after pulling my credit Todd told the only way I can have the 0% down and $0 pmi is I have to purchase a house in a county where they have a bank branch and if I don’t I would have to put down 3% which he did not inform me about until after pulling my credit so after pulling my credit I was approved for the 0% down I found a home outside of a county where they have a branch and after asking for an updated pre approval letter Todd has told me now I would have to put 5% down not 3%. I just want to inform any person that’s looking to purchase their first home and think about going with this bank what their system actually really is what Key Community actually is Todd Patterson is lazy and he withholds information try to make you think you are tied in with this bank you are not and I hope any first homebuyers see this because I will also be sharing my experience on social media and other platforms

*DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE*. This specific bank held my funds from preexisting clients for 15 days & blamed corporate & my home bank office just to find out it was their fault. Also, they offered no resolution or assistance. Never had an issues with clients &/or money till this branch. Will never bank here again.

The tellers here are not of a friendly variety. Get angry when asked to count money for a deposit. I've been scolded twice now for bringing in money for a petty cash return for work. Not having it exactly how they wanted.

Took money out of my account with the ATM. ATM never gave me the money. I went inside to have someone take care of it and they told me it was my problem. Loved getting scammed by corporate businesses
