I was mistreated by an associate by the name Ashleigh … as I was checking out, I was asking questions about Visa gift cards. I was purchasing last-minute gifts. The manager that was helping the associate. was very straightforward and helpful as I had my hands full and grabbing things she was shaking her hand with the card … very passive aggressive towards me, shaking them so I would grab them faster. I wasn’t fast enough for her I guess. As she’s shaking her hand, she’s saying have a nice day repeated. Have a nice day. as I grabbed the visas, she said, I snatched it out of her hand and continue to argue with me when that was not my intent I literally had to tell her to calm down firmly /after making a scene in the store, as I was walking out of the store, she continued to be upset about me, snatching so-called the gift cards that I purchased out of her hand. Rude as hell, number one and number two awful disgusting energy. I was not the only one she was rude to since the time I walked in the door. All I could hear was her voice throughout the store and rude and uninviting to other customers as well. Definitely will be contacting corporate.

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience at this store involving one of the associates, Stacy. My child was briefly playing with a Christmas candy cane decoration, worth only $1.25, and Stacy’s behavior throughout our visit was rude, unprofessional, and, frankly, felt RACIST.
Despite the item being completely undamaged, Stacy insisted that we purchase the exact candy cane my child touched, as though it were a major issue. We had already purchased items worth $135, yet she made repeated condescending remarks, frowning and making facial expressions that clearly showed her disdain. At one point, she even told us to “take care of your child,” which was completely uncalled for. Her attitude was dismissive, judgmental, and made us feel thoroughly unwelcome in the store.
As highly educated professionals—we have shopped in many places and have never encountered such rude, biased treatment, let alone in a dollar store. It’s incredibly disappointing that a store would allow someone with such an unprofessional and discriminatory attitude to work in a customer-facing role. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I hope management takes action to ensure other customers don’t face similar treatment. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect.

9/3 @ 11:20 am - Came into the store to purchase boxes and bubble mailers. They only had 1 size box to purchase but there were 3 boxes on the floor broken down that were from the stock that had been put out already. I picked these up to take with me. Apparently this offended the employee because she came up to me in the check out lane and counted the boxes. When I asked her if she needed them she said yes and took them. Wow they must inventory empty garbage too.

Was traveling out of state and had to quickly run in for a D cell battery and asked a worker who spoke with an accent and named Andrea (pronounced On-dray-a) for the general vicinity of the batteries and low and behold they were on an end cap about 10' away... OK my bad for not seeing it right in front of me... however when she pointed them out to me she was rude and made these up and down hand gestures saying very loudly, "they're right here... see right here... there's all kinds, can't you see them??" Really condescending and impatient. I said "oh gosh right in front of my face" and she walked straight away... then while I was self checking out I heard her YELL out impatiently and very loudly for a co worker that was down about 3 aisles away to help another customer with something. As I was leaving I did say to her, "you are being very rude you know." She said, I haven't had my coffee" and I said, "not my problem" and she said, "obviously it is your problem"...I asked her name and she said she wasn't telling me. So I looked for another worker and I heard her telling one of them not to tell me her name if I asked. So found a different one and she told me the rude woman's name. As RUDE as this woman was to me and her co worker, she was sweet, patient and flirtatious with the guy who was making a delivery to the store...hmmmm.

I was made to feel very uncomfortable at this location. I had a basket in the self checkout line, which I went to because the other aisles were full at the time. One cashier decided to come from her register and monitor me within 5 feet and the other just stood and watched me from behind the register, after they finished up. I don’t know if they have issues with theft or whatever, but I feel as though they could have handled their behavior or surveillance better. I didn’t want to cause a scene but this behavior was very intimidating and familiar. I love Dollar Tree but will not be back at that location.
