I'm used to first class service at a branch near my work.. This is not the branch.. I popped in to make a deposit one day..my first time being here.. I went up to the desk with all the blank slips, extra pens, and the adding machine.. I filled out my slip, counted my cash and went to tally up my numbers on the provided adding machine only to find it was dead.. I flipped the on/off switch and still nothing, no power.. Hmmm.. this is weird.. Whatever.. I dug deep into my purse for my phone with the calculator in it.. So, when I approached the teller, I mentioned to her in a no big deal, but just to let you know kind of way.... your adding machine doesn't work... She proceeded to school me on how an adding machine is not a calculator and many people have a hard time with them.. OK, now I'm a little irritated.. I use an adding machine every day.. I guess I look like a giant moron.. I explained to her that I'm well aware of how to use it, but it has no power. She asked me if it was plugged in.. I told her I didn't get down on the floor or anything to investigate, it wasn't that big of a deal.. I just wanted her to know for the next person.. She then explained that they don't have enough electrical outlets over there!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT????!!!!Not only did you in a round about way insult me... but, you knowingly place a machine out for public use that requires electricity, yet you don't put it where it can be plugged in...???? Oh dear.... So why did you assume I don't know how to use it?? I have nothing more to say... Thankfully I don't have to deal with this in Novi...
