I came to this area to celebrate my birthday and was pleasantly surprised to find this sweet little cafe with my name! The food was delicious! I got a pita wrap with chicken salad, tomatoes, and avocados. The homemade chips and dipping sauce were so yummy, too! And I couldn't resist the photo op!

We are DONE with Jennifer's Cafe! They make a mistake (or several!) EVERY single time we order carryout. Yesterday was the last straw: Salad was missing the poached chicken and had two items we didn't request, Buffalo chicken wraps barely had any chicken in them, and none of our dressings were included. When I called to say the order was wrong and missing items, they said their kitchen was closing (this was 6:40 pm on a Tuesday night). I promised them I'd be right there, and when I arrived, three cashiers along with someone from the kitchen were standing there — and just turned their backs to me and went on with their business. When I asked them why they couldn't even be bothered to apologize for the mistake, I got a very non-sorry-sounding "sorry" that might as well have been a middle finger. Wow. This is how they treat their customers? Two of my kids worked there in high school under the old owners. They would NEVER have allowed their staff to treat customers like that. We're never returning there and spreading the word.

Really has gone downhill. I live down the street and have been coming here for 30 years. It's always been high quality food prepared with care. I understand they have new owners for 2 years now. We just ordered a carry out and were both surprised and disappointed. Their signiture Maurice salad was really bad. All wilted watered down lettuce, and overwhelmed with sweet pickle juice. We threw out a large bowl full. Their signiture homemade chips were not only burned, but 90% black burned and should have never left the kitchen. The "homemade" pita that used to come light, fluffy and hot, was a thick cold wad of dough, still very cold from the refrigerator. The chicken shwarma sandwich was edible but unremarkable. The tiramisu was pastey, chalky and waterlogged all at the same time. This food was really bad, thats why I'm leaving a review

I used to dishwash here when I was around 12 years old. I've been getting the same number 12, chicken and honey mustard pita sandwiches for 35 years, it seems. Small, cozy, quaint family restaurants with dishes meant to last for decades. One of my favorite spots in the area. A++

My first job back in the 80s. The names of the sandwiches have changed, but the recipes haven't. For good reason -- when you create something that good, you leave it alone. #14 is not to be missed. #1, #9, and #11 are also fantastic. They're one of the only restaurants in Michigan that knows how to make falafel correctly. And they had the best lamb grape leaves around, but for some reason took them off the menu. Hoping they bring them back, so I can continue to make special trips. It's a neighborhood staple.
