Excellent overall service! I’ve been a customer here for many years, starting with a simple oil change and later moving on to more complex work like full front and rear brake replacements, among other services. It’s been great to see this place grow so much since it started, and the reason for its success is clear: an honest, professional business that truly takes care of its customers.

I absolutely love this shop! Jamie and Chris are amazing—very honest, transparent, and trustworthy. They don’t overcharge, they explain exactly what your car needs, and then they fix it right the first time. I’ve been coming here for years and wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. My Nissan wouldn’t start, and after reaching out to a few auto shops with no response, I called Oil Exchange & Auto Repair Center in Commerce Twp and spoke with Sam. He gave me a worst-case-scenario quote right away but was honest and reassuring—he said he’d do everything he could to avoid that outcome. I asked if they could take the car the same day, and he said to bring it in. When the tow truck arrived (shout-out to Lakeside Towing for being quick and professional), there was a bay open and ready.
Everyone at the shop was friendly, professional, and helpful. Sam stayed in contact throughout the process, and while it did end up being the worst-case (a full starter replacement), the price stayed exactly as quoted. He got the job done quickly and had me back on the road in time for work the next day.
We’re new to the area, and it’s been tough trying to find a mechanic we can trust. I’ve heard a lot of stories about where not to go—but very few about where to go. I was so relieved and grateful, I wanted to hand out hugs.
If you're looking for reliable, fast, and honest auto repair in the Commerce area, I highly recommend Oil Exchange & Auto Repair Center. I’m so glad I made that call.

Mike helped me with a flat tire. He went above and beyond! Getting stranded with a flat tire, took my anxiety to the top. Their kindness at this shop was refreshing, and he didn't charge me. I will recommend everyone there.
