I visited this Walgreens location on March 23rd, shortly after opening (around 9:05 AM), as part of a personal decision to quit vaping. I waited outside respectfully, noticed the store lights were on and cars being served at the drive-thru, and entered after discovering the front door was already unlocked. I assumed the automatic mechanism had not yet been activated.
To my surprise, I was confronted by a staff member (middle-aged woman, around 50 years old) in a tone that felt accusatory and hostile — despite the fact that the store was technically open and I had entered calmly. Her words and attitude suggested an immediate assumption that I had done something wrong, which I hadn’t. The entire exchange felt disrespectful and — quite frankly — as though I was being treated with suspicion for who I was, not for my behavior.
I left the store within minutes and went to a nearby CVS, where I was treated with the respect every customer deserves.
This was a disappointing experience, and I hope Walgreens takes it seriously. Disrespect, especially when subtle or rooted in bias, should not be normalized. We all deserve to be treated with decency, no matter our background or how we look.

You can tell management sucks here. No offense BUT WHO MAKES THEIR EMPLOYEES ALL TAKE A LUNCH BREAK TOGETHER ? AKWARD NOBODY WANTS TO EAT WITH THEIR COWORKERS ALL THE DAMN TIME. LET EVERYONE TAKE A BREAK AT A DIFFERENT TIME SO THAT they can breath. This way you can be OPEN like all other places. Have two different lunch breaks. 12 and 1. There i fixed your problem.

Pharmacy is horrible customer service
Every time I call 30 minute wait. Only pharmacy closed on holidays and won’t refill perceptions the day before for with out doctors ok. This is my second time calling today first time I waited 20 minutes hung up called back. In the past they would usually answer and hang up

Don’t bother trying to call, tried to call regarding a medication my dr prescribed today, to ask a simple question. They left me on hold for a half hour, not only that but the person kept picking up the phone and immediately placing it back on hold rather than just picking it up. Kept doing this until the call disconnected automatically. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Do better.

Transferred here because rite aid closed. What a mistake. Definitely not coming back worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. I get it's busy there but they're in way too much of a rush to provide decent customer service. Not to mention I had to pay for a prescription for the first time in 15 years of taking it. Go somewhere else

Had my prescriptions transferred here automatically here and the difference was night and day. I am disabled and frequently experience short lapses in coverage. At rite aid, they would always give me a few days worth of medication and help me navigate the insurance system. At Walgreens, they bluntly told me "your insurance isn't active," and not only didn't offer help, but told me to do it myself when I asked. I definitely won't be back

A terrible pharmacy. I went to pick up prescriptions and waited 10 minutes in the drive thru as the only one in line while there were at least 5 pharmacy techs working. Once a guy got to me, he pulled my prescriptions and told me an outrageous amount. I asked what they filled because it wasn’t right, they probably had the brand name when I want generic. He was so confused and apathetic. I even showed him my goodrx app that said the amount should be a third of what he’s asking for, and he said “I don’t know why it says that.” It is their job to figure it out and help me out, and he could not have cared less. I ended up just leaving and transferring my prescription.

The pharmacist at this Walgreens location, Union Lake Road in Commerce Twp,, Ahmad is dishonest to the core. They made an error on one of my prescriptions for which the total had a shortage. The error was "found and corrected" by Ahmad. My husband picked up the remaining total. When I went to get the prescription refilled I was told by Ahmad, the pharmacist that he had given a whole refill which he was 100% sure was correct. I know he was incorrect, both my husband and myself know that only one small bottle was given. Ahmad stated that he would need to review the store footage to confirm. Shouldn't prescriptions be recorded in the computer? How would camera footage show how many bottes were given? When I call to see if the camera footage had been reviewed I was told that the store manager was the only one with the ability to pull up camera footage and she was on vacation. My prescription was held hostage for 10 days longer than necessary. My insurance was ok to fill it per the pharmacy tech. It was my word against the pharmacist when there should have been more documentation than just his "word" which is worth very little in my estimation. My prescriptions as well as my family have been moved out of the Wallgreens system entirely.

As far as using the pharmacy regularly, I can't speak from experience. BUT... I have been taking with a Pharmacy Tech today, Anthony, and he is just the sweetest thing. Hoping his management sees this. It is 1/06/24 near 6 pm.Give that man a raise! He was so helpful and so kind ❤️ Thank you, Anthony ❤️

Visited this place to receive a vaccination on Sep.19, 2023 -booked online the day before-. Everything was smooth and the pharmacist I engaged with was just wonderful. He was professional, made everything clear (what kind of vaccine, etc) AND friendly. I observed he treated every customer with the same professional manner WITH smile even though quite busy and customers kept coming. Thank you.Plenty of parking space and easy in/out from the streets.
