Nice rustic campground with not too many people. $20/night. There's a pond that the campsites surround. Lake Superior is just a 2 min drive away. Very peaceful when someone isn't running a generator. A pack of coyotes came through making a racket which was pretty cool

This is a huge rustic campground a few minutes outside of Copper Harbor. It just keeps going and going! There is a huge difference in privacy and quality between sites, but there are lots to choose from.Site 46 was great for van camping. It wouldn't have been great for a tent, since it was rocky and uneven. There were areas that would have been great for tents though. The same goes for RVs. Our site wouldn't have worked for anything bigger than our van. You could have easily gotten a bigger vehicle stuck. The bathrooms were convenient and well maintained. The firewood was leftover bark and sapwood from the lumber milling operation near the entrance. It was cheap though. It was $7.00 a bundle, but it wasn't bundled. We just took what we thought was fair. The water is near the entrance. We didn't meet any of the staff, but I saw someone driving around in a golf cart looking fairly official, so I know there were staff on site.It also has a small bike park on the property that was pretty cool. There were several kids working on skills and having a good time. One issue was the flies! There were so many on our site, we thought about leaving at first. I went into town and got a can of yard-and-garden spray at the general store, and the problem was solved for the rest of our stay. We got rid of the ones that were there, and they didn't come back.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. I will stay here again the next time I'm in the area. At $20 per night, this place is a killer deal. If you enjoy rustic camping, this is among the best places we've stayed.

Very nicely maintained cabins and campground. We stayed in cabin number 4, which has a great view of the little inland lake that the campground surrounds. There is a nice path on the side of the lake that goes right by the cabins and passes by a small orchard. Cabin 4 shares a fire ring with cabin 5, so it’d be a great choice for a group renting both cabins. Water is a bit of a hike (or short drive) by the main entrance of the campground. No clear check-in procedure - we’d booked our cabin in advance so we just walked in and set up. Five minute drive into Copper Harbor. Would definitely stay at the cabins again and would check out the campsites, too.

It was just as I had expected and more. Location was convenient to Copper Harbor. Quiet area, easy to access town. Cabin and ground were clean upon arrival. Price was excellent for a large family! Pet friendly. Would stay there again. Highly recommend!

We stayed one night in May 2023 in site 13 next to the pond. $20 Nice soft site with thick grass. Good view of the lake marsh and birds. Frogs were so loud but it added to the charm of Brockway Mountain for the backdrop. Sights are in groups around a lake with a business at either end. The pit toilets are a walk but new and nice. Our site had a fire ring but no picnic table, not an issue for us. They have cabins you can rent now I think. Great home base to explore from.

Life saver on motorcycle trip and 100 miles in the rain, the cabin was amazing. Tents were out of the question Warm and well built with excellent wood stove and comfortable memory foam mattress, LED lights with solar power and battery, you can use 4 usb to charge or it has a car lighter adapter too. No plugs. Wood was dry and stocked, canon well appointed with table and chairs, pegs for hanging stuff, and plenty of shelves. The grounds are beautiful with several greenhouses and gardens, stacked stone walls…a real gem. No water except up front, toilet is just that. Tp provided.

We were told by locals this is a campground typically used by mountain bikers. The primitive campground setting was clean and well-kept. The signage provided all of the information we needed. If I recall correctly, this site was cash or check only, which is unusual, but the prices were reasonable and we stayed for two nights. Be prepared for mosquitoes - a bug-resistant shelter is highly recommended. WiFi is strongest next to the maintenance shed but I was able to pull a signal the entire time on an Android (the iPhone didn't do so well).

Rented a cabin and super enjoyed it. Cabin #4 looks out over the pond and was super fun to light a fire and relax. Cabin was much cleaner than I expected, and toilets are also kept very clean. Plenty of trees for privacy was a plus.

Amazing hidden gem in Copper harbor! Bike trails run right through it, $15 a night cash honor system. They have fresh water avail, otherwise it’s real camping. Beachfront & town all walkable / bike-able. Stayed in a 24’ camper with 2 dogs.

Mosquito mosquito mosquito. Please bring bug spray. The entrances for this place comes out of nowhere so if you turn in too fast, you might slide out on the dirt track and hit a tree or rock. It's pretty close to copper harbor, probably closer to copper harbor than eagle harbor. There's firewood that you can buy on-site. The tent sites vary in closeness from one another. You don't necessarily need a 4x4 to drive around this campground, I did it in my corolla no problems.

A really nice campground at a decent price! Driving in it seems a bit sketchy as we went by the excavators and dump trucks, but you pass those and the campsites are quite nice. Most are separated by trees and they (all???) have picnic tables, fire rings and nice tent pads. We found a spot that had level parking for our truck camper and was away from others. The road is close by, but there was little/no road noise after 10pm. There are pit toilets, but they are very nicely maintained both inside and outside. Overall, this place was a very pleasant surprise on the UP and we'd definitely go back there!

Pit toilets. $15 a night. Stayed for one night. It was ok. Picked a bad site next to vault toilets so don't make the same mistake we did cause in the morning there was a stagnant smell. Probably would have rated better if we had a better site. The campground had cabins, but not sure of price or how to stay in one as there was no info on the board for payment.

We stayed in one of the cabins for three nights. We enjoyed it and loved having the solar electricity. The porch lights at night were nice! The campground doesn't feel much like a campground at all and it was quiet. The gardens and flowers are beautiful and all the staff we met was friendly. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. We would love to come back.

I thought that this campground was brand new, due to the freshly-carved-out feeling of many of the sites, as well as the vault toilet bathrooms. They were so clean and just, well- new looking! We loved the variety of sites to choose from, from right next to the road and bathroom to nestled back in a corner surrounded by trees. We also loved the garden that we camped next to, even waking up one morning to say hello to the workers pulling weeds and harvesting fresh vegetables! There were three or four friendly dogs roaming the campground. We didn't mind them coming and going through our site, but I did draw the line at coming into our screened canopy. I kept them out of my kitchen / dining room! I love that it is only $15 a night - it is very hard to find that price anymore. We felt very safe and didn't feel too close to any neighbors. The proximity to town was a plus, but it was still a quiet place to stay. Each day there was someone clearing brush around each site, which has to be a full-time job! No cell service in the campground and around Copper Harbor may be a negative to some, but we count it as a positive when on vacation! This was an ideal place for our family of 6 in a pop-up to stay. Be sure to jump in the Devil's Washtub while you're in the area, as well as taking a walk through the *big* trees in Estivant Pines!
