The staff is really friendly! We stayed Labor Day weekend in cabin Elm, the cabin was small but very nice for the price. It was a hot weekend and no AC was not a problem, there was fan provided and lots of windows. My family enjoyed the beach and the playground. Most people are gone sightseeing during the day and the park is super quite. The mattresses in the cabin could’ve been better, but like I said the price was fair. The last day I was there the staff went above and beyond as I had a nail in my tire. They called down to tire shop in Curtis and got me right in. We’ll be coming back.

Whole family loves it, great little campground. If you are bringing a camper I would recommend grabbing extra blocks for your stabilizers for some of the sites.

We stayed in a cabin. Marge and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The campground was very nice. Beautiful view of Big Manistee Lake and the beach was fun. The cabin was kind of rustic, sheets and blankets were provided, along with dishes and cookware, but you always have to bring a lot more than that. We've been to the U.P. several times and knew what to bring to make our stay comfortable. Had a really great time with our family and appreciated our stay there!

Campground is okay, a little bit of a walk to the lakefront. Laundry room small but efficient. Sites are very close to each other. Had a neighbor who decided to check in at 10:30 at night. Not really the campgrounds well just people being rude in general.

We're here for a week. The deluxe spot for us ( we have a 32 ft 5th wheel) is GREAT. Cement pad, wooded sites, pull thru. And the fixtures are close to each other so you don't have to jockey between water and sewer.Staff is SUPER Friendly. Very quiet and peaceful place to call home for a week

Very nice and welcoming campground. We had a full through site. Is was away from the inner campground. Felt very secluded because these sites were quite separated from each other.

We had a 5th wheel and had a pull thru site. Concrete pad with brick patio. Huge grassy area with fire pit and picnic table. Tree line and bushes blocked neighboring campers on either side. Lake was beautiful and they even had a little trail to walk our lab. Separate area forI dogs to swim. Staff very friendly. Will definitely return if in the area!

Great: The resort grounds are nice, and the place is pet-friendly (we did not bring a pet). The lake is beautiful, the office offers sale of firewood (you Must use their firewood only), some other basics, and ice. They seemed very friendly and have good handouts for restaurants and activities in the area. Apparently, you can rent a boat slip, right on the shore behind the cabins, on Lake Manistique. We did not have time when we checked in, to take look at offerings, and had plans that kept us away from the cabin/resort most of the time.Meh: Maybe some of the cabins are really nice, but ours left much to be desired (Elm). We were only there two nights (almost $90/night with taxes), and paid what seems like an exorbitant amount for the condition of the cabin. Sheets were provided, one quilt for each bed, the mattresses were "okay", at best. No towels, no washcloths, were provided, in spite of the washroom and toilet in-cabin. The water came out of the sink faucet piping hot, which was great, but the microwave didn't seem to heat up anything - even water - much more. The stove worked, but the saucepan looked filthy and then wouldn't come clean. It rained quite a bit our first night, but the roof seemed sound, and we stayed dry.Terrible: the smell and the cold.Predicting cold or hot in the third to fourth week of September is hard. We get that, and don't blame the resort for cold weather! However, you do expect *real heat to be available* in a fall rental in the U.P.There appeared to be a thermostat on the wall, but it didn't do anything. The only heat in the small cabin (Elm) was one electric plug-in radiator. There was one outlet in the entire main room, with a power strip (and none in the bedroom). That one power strip was supposed to supply the power for the microwave oven, the coffee maker if you used it, a toaster, the heater, and anything that you need to plug in, like chargers. The other spot on the outlet was taken up by the refrigerator. Needless to say, trying to make toast while the radiator was plugged in because it's 38° outside, would not have worked. The radiator as high as it could go barely made a difference once the temperature outside went below 50°. There appeared to be no insulation, and the windows clearly had drafts all around. We ended up boiling water on the stove while we were there, just to try to supplement the paltry heat of the radiator. We took the quilt for the other bed and added it to ours. Good thing we both had brought real pajamas! The worst was the smell. Noticed right away, when we first used the restroom in the cabins itself, that there was a slight smell of sewage. The footboards seemed a bit soft, but not obviously rotted or weak. By morning, the sewer smell was constant and noticeable in the bathroom and in the main room even with the door closed. We didn't want to spend any more time in the cabin than we absolutely had to, and were grateful we could stay busy elsewhere and only stayed two nights.

Our 1st time. We stayed at Dogwood cabin. We loved it. My dog had lots of ysrd to run. Ms. Marge was an excellent hostess. We were thrilled to get in due to someone elses cancellation. Ducks to feed, amazing sunsets. We rented a pontoon boat and had a great time. Hoping to make a family reunion every August.

We rented most of the cabins for a wedding. From the moment we arrived, Marci, Kathy, Wilber, Terry and the rest of the staff did everything to ensure a happy stay and successful ceremony. Windy and I stayed in the Edgewater cabin. It was clean and comfortable and had a rustic charm that’s hard to find today. Right on the water as well. I highly recommend a stay here to unplug, relax and enjoy the beautiful lakefront surroundings.

First time staying here and it was very peaceful, really enjoyed sitting by the lake and the plus of WiFi. Our site was perfect with nice tree coverage but also open enough to move around. Don’t want to go home now! We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful spot! A true hidden jem. 1 and only issue was because we're in a big Super C we've had some issues with sinking into the ground. If you've got a big rig consider bringing some 2x12s or something similar to distribute the weight. Other than that wow..... Absolutely will come back here if ever in the area again. Staff couldn't be friendlier also.

Great little campground/RV/cabin park. Not super modern nor fancy, but a great deal for an easy going trip. Staff is very helpful and friendly, and prices are more than reasonable. Small beach area and an area for boat launch and slips.
