This place has a lot going for itself in such a small location; respectable wine selection, hard to find Italian products, awesome meats, pasta selection and cheeses. However, I'm here to talk about the sandwiches. The classic Italian sub is the best in SE Michigan and at their price, you'd be a fool to eat anywhere else.

The staff is very friendly and easy to socialize with. The subs are great. The sub sauce is excellent. The prices are customer friendly.

I haven't updated my review for Alcamo's in a while. Not much has changed since 2013 in terms of their food (why mess with a classic?) but they have updated the store a little bit. They added an olive bar and limited customer seating in the lobby area. Their deli is still awesome as ever. Prices have gone up over the years, as expected, but you can still get a stacked Italian sub for only $6. Grab a San Pellegrino for two bucks and a bag of Michigan-made potato chips and you've got yourself a great lunch. It's cash only unless your total is $10 or more. Keep that in mind if you're going for a light lunch. You can park on the street in front of the market, in the three spots next to the building, and there's also a small lot across the street. If you haven't been yet, you've got to ask yourself why and make it happen.

Sausages were ok. Family owned. I think Dearborn ham has better meat. Matter of fact I saw some of Dearborn ham meat products in their display.

Super nice people and a wide selection of Italian food products and wine. Awesome meat and deli counter. You cannot mention Alcamo’s without saying something about their sandwiches. My personal favorite is their Classic Italian with “sauce on the side.” You are a fool if you go to any run-of-the-mill fast food joint when you have Alcamo’s as an option.

The subs are delicious! Everything tasted so fresh. The Italian and Spicy Italian were my favorites. The corn beef rueben was my husbands favorite. We will definitely be return customers!

Went for an Italian sub that is on special this month. Ordered extra onions. Was not told they charge 50 cents for this. Not really a problem, but they didn't put extra onions on it. It would have been nice to actually get something I was charged for. The sub was ok, but not great. I know of another place that will put extra onions on your sub for no additional charge. Will probably stick with them.....they taste better.
