Asked for a replacement card twice, still nothing after 3 weeks. This bank is nothing but problems. I can't use the android app for card services, horrible hours etc.. I've been with this bank since I was like 16 and I'm 43. Nothing but problems recently. Time to go elsewhere.

The worst financial institution I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. I just spent 3 hours trying to pay my credit card ($12.18). Their phone system is designed to not require any human intervention, but it is unable to deal with uncommon issues. Today I spent 45 minutes on hold. My checking account was suppose to pay my credit card bill, but DFCU stole $10 per month from my checking account because my balance was less than $10,000. This isn't the only issue I've had, just the most current.

**Warning: Discriminatory Practices at [DFCU]**
I regret to inform potential customers about the appalling discriminatory practices at [DFCU], a credit union I've banked with for over 12 years. Despite maintaining a stellar financial record and substantial account balance, I've continuously faced racial profiling and mistreatment from their staff.
During my visits, I've been subjected to offensive remarks and comments about my account balance and financial decisions. Despite my loyalty and timely payments, I've been made to feel unwelcome and marginalized by the entire banking staff.
The most egregious example of this discrimination is the repeated denial of my auto loan applications, despite meeting all requirements and having a credit score above 700. Bank employees have questioned my choice of vehicle and made derogatory remarks about my preference for luxury cars, even suggesting that I engage in car buying and selling without any evidence.
Additionally, I've endured offensive comments about my ethnicity and nationality, including being told to "go back to my country" during banking transactions. Such language is not only hurtful but also a clear violation of basic human rights.
The consistent mistreatment and discrimination I've experienced at [DFCU] are unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid this institution and seek banking services elsewhere. No one should have to endure such discrimination while simply trying to manage their finances.
Consider this a warning: steer clear of [DFCU] unless you're willing to tolerate bigotry and disrespect.

I've seen the DFCU reply and thank you for that. I'm sad I had to come here, but I am also glad to hear I may have an opportunity to come back.

I was a checking account member about 4 years ago and overdrafted my account, so the fees piled up. I'm not going to get into why it happened but it was a financial disaster and sure, my overdraft actions have consequences. It took a couple years but the overdraft fees are paid in full.
Sadly, I had to change my 5 star review to a 1 today. If there was a negative star option, I would check it.
I was truly happy banking with these guys and I couldn't wait to return. So, I worked out all my financial issues and was excited to apply for a membership savings account. I raised my credit score from 380 to 730, worked my way up to an Engineering Supervisor position, I make over 6 figures annually and I am so proud. In less than 5 years!
Why the negative star review, if I could?
I went in today to open a savings account for the money my dad left to me. I asked to open a savings account, not a checking account, and was told I can't and they won't accept my application for membership. Because of my overdraft fees that are paid in full?
I asked who I could talk to about this. They said there was nothing they could do and nobody to talk to about this!
Obviously, I took my business to another bank.
