No one answered phone. Has limited hours; even when people r there, they say it's closed. Never have low-sodium meats cut or packaged to sell in open cases when deli closed. They have 1 low fat cheese (American) that's not pre-cut or available in cases when deli closed and isn't listed on their website to even pre-order for puck up.

Groceries are getting more expensive, but you're apparently not using that money to attract and pay for more labor to keep the checkouts open, so your customers have to do that, too, and not terribly efficiently. Instead, you're going to spend billions of dollars to buy out another grocery chain. My large self-checkout order started out OK this morning, but ended with some frustration. The self-checkouts were busy, with a lineup waiting. The attendant was doing the best she could, and so was I. Kroger needs to do better.

This location is very badly managed. Staff are untrained and scarce. The produce section is very small and filled with poor quality product most of the time. The meat counter is down as often as it is full. The entire store is usually dirty and disorganized. Never enough registers open. If I have to check myself out, I want to be paid for it.

Zero check lanes open, half of the self check closed, line snaking all over the store. 2nd time this week. I'm going to Aldi from now on.

Be forewarned. my wife just had a horrible experience with a pick up at your Holt Michigan store. Her order number was **********.. She was told her order would be at the store at 5 PM. She received a text that effect. She drove to the store which is approximately 20 minutes from our home. Arriving a few minutes early she was sitting in the parking lot at 4:57 when she received another text saying her order would be ready two hours late at 7 PM. She talked to the store staff after working through the phone tree and having various people hand off the responsibility. This process took 10 minutes. She was then told that the order would be ready in approximately half an hour. She drove around waiting for the time to pass. She received another communication indicating that the order was ready. When she pulled into the lot and went through the phone tree to have that order brought to the car a staff member was sent out to tell her that the order was again not ready and then it would be several hours before it could be picked up. She thus wasted time and gas going down there. She wasted additional time trying to wait for them to get the order ready after it was promised. And then despite twice being told to come down and pick up the order she was told it would be several hours more . This is unacceptable. I believe the Kroger owes her an apology. Perhaps the appropriate way to deal with this is for the order to be assembled and delivered to our home free of delivery charges. I strongly suggested they contact us by phone. This was a horrible and abysmal demonstration of poor customer service . The staff at the Holt store should be ashamed of themselves. Note I did try dealing with Kroger corporate. Once my wife got home and told me about her travails at the Kroger store I attempted to contact Kroger's customer service. When I called the customer service number I worked my way through the phone tree until I got to the contact point for a live service representative. According to Kroger’s website this is staffed until 9 PM Eastern time on Saturdays. I was calling between 6 and 7 PM. After about 10 minutes on hold the phone announce that there were no customer service representatives available and terminated my call. I then tried Kroger's customer service live chat function. After having entered in all my information I got a message saying please wait for a live agent. I took that wait time and crafted a several hundred word response detailing what it happened. I posted it to the chat while I was waiting for the live agent. After about 10 minutes in I received a message saying no live agent was available and that they were terminating the chat. I was given a link in this termination notice to post to Kroger on apparently an internal email system. I clicked on the link several times only to find that it was dead. I then navigated back to the main Kroger site and found the live link for posting concerns. It took a while to figure out that this site would not let me post unless I entered my phone number twice. Thus I posted the response I had initially posted in the chat explaining the discourteous behavior at the Holt Kroger. They promised a response within 48 hours. I am not holding my breath.

Was running 5-6 HOURS BEHIND on their pick up. It wasn’t even a holiday. Cancelled my order, paid twice as much for less and went to a local store. Horrible experience. Third time I have been here and each times been a mess. Learned my lesson.

The store is ok. I was browsing one of the Isles and I couldn't find something but this employee named max. He was extremely helpful and very friendly. I had such a hard time understanding where stuff was and max worked with me to find everything I need and he was very patient with me and my wife. Honestly max is a really hard working person I feel like he deserves a little bit of appreciation for his dedication. Thank you max!

This review is for the managers, probably more area directors. I know it is hard to find employees at this time but my goodness! The shelves are EMPTY! The meat department smells so bad I can't even walk in the vicinity of it. All employees are working so very hard and are very pleasant but why are the department heads not working 80 hour weeks to make this store presentable? I am sure it is because Kroger pays like crap. That is why the stores look like it! What a travesty! The hourly employees are head and shoulders above the people who can make a change! The stores are filthy....FILTHY! Wiped out by 4 pm, smelly, no carts when you come in the door, customer service is a joke! Do better! Perhaps spend less on stupid advertising and pay your people. The fresh advertising goes out the window when you walk in and smell rotting fish.

Where to start: moldy produce, packaged food (refrigerated and not) past "use by" or "sell by" date, dirty store aisles, trash all over parking lot, no carts available in the store, carts all over the parking lot (not contained in the designated cart corrals), employees loitering and smoking near store entrances, etc. Last week I was there around 5pm and they had only two cashier lanes open (both self scan areas were closed) and the service desk was closed due to lack of adequate staffing. One customer became very angry when he was told the service desk was closed. When he asked to speak to a manager to voice his concerns- he was told by an employee THE MANAGER LEFT AN HOUR AGO!

Employees are not following social distancing guidelines. a few weeks ago I went in to pick up an Rx. Bethany was cashier for the self checkout. she wore her mask under her nose. She had a nasty cough and would remove her mask, cough into her hand and then touch the checkout scanners. It was disgusting even if not during a pandemic. I moved to a regular line and the cashier removed her mask to say hello. I called corporate to complain but no response. I stopped having curbside pickup from the Holt store. I went in again to get an Rx this week and Bethany was once again cashier at the self checkout and wearing a mask below her nose. The Okemos store is very clean and we are going there instead.

The Kroger in Holt is one of the worst grocery stores I have ever been in. Extremely poor management, employees all look like they would like to be elsewhere. Dirty most of the time. Produce section is awful. It's the only one near us so we went there for years but no longer. The situation we are in was the last straw. They just don't care.

Went to Kroger last night to get some groceries and recently they added several more u-scan checkouts and only had one register open besides that had to wait longer to checkout. I don't mind using the u-scan registers when I have a couple of items but when I have a cart full would rather go to the regular registers. Not a fan of stores putting in more u-scan registers and forcing people to use them. Great store otherwise.
