Needed a place to recycle electronics and found out about this place. Its nice because it seems to blend the size and personalization of a Radio Shack, but with the technological understanding of a Micro Center (if not better than Micro Center.) If you need a low-cost but effective PC, electronics recycling, or just about any type of computer part, you should consider All About Technology.

I truly hate to leave a one star review for a local business as I feel they are very important to our community. I have procrastinated to write this, but each time I open my laptop and have to push several keyboard keys repeatedly to get them to function I am reminded of my experience at All About Technology. I took my computer to them in October to have the keyboard replaced as the 2, W, S, and X keys were not functioning properly. The repair took a week longer than they originally estimated, though if all else had been good I would have left a 5 star review as I realize things do not always go as planned. Unfortunately, upon receiving my laptop, the issue persisted. I messaged the shop to let them know this and was more or less dismissed. I felt that my note was polite and stated the facts, which were: 1 - The issue was still present 2 - The track pad, which is part of a new keyboard assembly had finger smudges on it and was clearly not new 3 - The Lenovo stickers, which were on the old keyboard, were peeling in the corners just as they were before I brought it in. Another sign that this was not a new keyboard. I was told that they do the work necessary to fix the problem so just because I asked for a keyboard replacement does not mean that is what they would have done. I was also told that they did not bear any responsibility because I had signed off on the work. I actually did not sign off on the work because I was unable to test the machine in the store as the battery was dead and they did not have a cord. I asked him to show me the work order on the machine because the receipt I have clearly states that I paid for a new computer. I did not receive any response to this or to my follow ups. I am choosing not to pursue this with them further because the only reason I took it to them was because I did not have the time to replace it myself. Based on their response to other customers with a less than ideal experience, I do not have much expectation that we will be able to resolve this so it is easier for me to accept that this was $200 wasted and fix it on my own. I should state that I realize this was just my experience out of many others. They have been in business for a long time and so I assume that they mostly do good work. At the same time, people should be prepared that if they have a bad experience with All About Technology they will not have the integrity to stand by that work.
