AHOY THERE!! Absolutely love this place! So much history. Was invited to a YELP event here and was blown away. The decorum was dated to the original time it was built in 1902 (I'm a sucker for classic buildings) everywhere in detroit you can see classic architecture and this is included. Throughout the years the boat house has been in disrepair, but I feel that it gives it character, now mind you not ALL repais are added to the character, but I digress,. This place is still in use and is very spacious, had a party with a dj on one floor, had events on another, and had the accomplishments throughout. We weere free to raom and enjoy wha the Detroit Boat House had to offer. The view is amazing noatter what level youre on. It was extremely wet and flooded the day we were there but that didnt stop us YELPERS! WE LOVE A PARTY!!! I have been back to this historic boat house since and still marvel in its history and its accomplishment.it I love this place is in my top10 and can't wait for the renovations. Well,, I hope upon you reading this you too will enjoy this monumental place, until next time, keep YELPING my friends.

I can not rate what I HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO VISIT!!! There should be HISTORICAL TOURS opened to the general public by reservation bi-weekly....JUST A THOUGHT...there should be NO PRIVATE Establishments....on a public isle/park facility.....SOUNDS like early 1800s to me...in other words.... weird....you define it for yourselves....BUT NOT COOL...a bad look for "THE D"....DETROIT‼️
