My husband and I were visiting from North Carolina and loved stopping by this cafe! It was such a cozy place to have tea on a rainy day and the service was amazing. Will definitely return when we are back in town.

A dreamy escape for cold winter weekend days! I feel so psyched to have FINALLY sauntered into this little slice of heaven that has been on my collections list forever. I'm so excited about it that I'm having a time finding the right words to properly describe it. First, let me say that another patron sort of admonished me for taking pictures to share here. Apparently, she doesn't want newbies to come ruin her secret hideaway. Well, sorry, I must Yelp about this magical book-filled vintage-themed coffee house. Admittedly, I sort of understand why she wouldn't want lots of people piling in on a given Saturday or Sunday. The shop is very low-key, quiet, and highly vibrational. Loud unintentional folk would definitely ruin the vibe. But other like-minded souls would adore the place and hold its sacredness. Walking in, you're definitely not expecting what you'll find. I felt like little fairies took my hand and led me to a magical eutopia hidden in the woods. The lighting and decorations gave me Harry Potter vibes. There were butterflies, bikes, and other whimsical things flying through the air. No, literally, chairs and other decorations hanging from the ceiling! It's a book lover's paradise. There are tons of titles stacked and shelved all over. There are lots of trinkets and tchotchkes for sale. You can find unique gift items here or find something special for yourself. While touring the place, I looked around at the seating, there's a counter seating area and a few tables. However, I saw my sweet spot as soon as I walked in...a comfy colorful sofa in front of a faux fireplace with books and pillows surrounding it. There are lots of treats for purchase. I chose pound cake. It was so light and moist, I gobbled it down with an almond milk caramel latte. HEAVEN! I took a slice of lemon pound cake to-go. I can't wait to go back and visit. Next weekend looks good.

Detroit Gem. Just looking for a place to take Gram for coffee. Ran upon this place thru Google Maps. Coffee magnificent and gourmet sandwiches great. The atmosphere and the ladies who run this place, greater! Hours limited tho.I absolutely miss this place!!! Lately when I try to drop by there, it’s not open.

This is a wonderful place just to sit and enjoy yourself and just Be. What’s better than being surrounded by a massive amounts of books, with a hot cuppa coffee in your hand and a day free just to live in your imagination.

*CASH ONLY* Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Very chill. The place is full of many many things but mostly books. It can feel a little cluttered but in its own very cute and personable way. Everything you see is for sale from the things hanging from the ceiling to the the things sitting around you. There's also a great coffee/tea/snack menu. You are treated extremely kindly. It is definitely one of a kind and more than deserves 5 stars.
