If you choose to do nothing about this. That's a shame because the absolute unprofessionalism I just experienced was blatant and undeniable to everyone who witnessed. Not to mention the racist comments from random people in the background Telling me wrong city, wrong place. Because I'm White in Detroit paying 4,000 a year in property taxes but I don't belong at your establishment??? Nice. I'm sure you can check the footage. As there are cameras at this location 3000 West Davidson Detroit, Mi 48238. I frequent this store. I'm a local. I guess you would say a regular. We don't have many options around here. So therefore the employee take advantage of that. They know we have limited places to go. So they are Completely unprofessional. I realize they aren't making a lot of money. But they are at work. And I AM Spending my money at your location. You would think they would have a little bit of manners. No. None. Are manners even important anymore? I waited in a long line. This man. I would say gentleman but that's not the case. Was just standing behind the counter. There was a homeless lady in there . Asking for money. By the front door. Yes inside YOUR establishment. And he told her "I'm on break" while there is a large line. In front of everyone. Why would you be on break where we can see you?? It looks like your doing nothing. I finally get up to be the next in line. And him and some giant security bouncer?? Idk who he is. Another worker?? Is back there and they are chatting it up like none of us have anywhere to be?? Like they are going on and on...are they at work even??? So finally they call me over. No hello...just still conversating....ring me up ...no total said not even on the screen. So I'm standing there like an idiot...I say so what's my total??? He finally says it. I have my money in my hand.....no one is taking it..so I slide it over further through the plexiglass...and he finally took it. And I said thank you for being unprofessional, not saying hello or giving me my total your at work. And this is bullshit. Well apparently you can call anyone out on manners and being unprofessional. Both gentlemen flipped out. Big grown ass men. I'm small and really harmless. There reaction to a customer complaint was Insane. If anything I was trying to let the man know that he was rude. And everyone starts sticking up for his rudeness. I don't care about color rude is rude. But clearly they cared About mine. . they threw my money back on the ground said what said what unnecessary even though they were both clearly in the wrong. And told me they no longer want business like mine. Then a women in the background is yelling at me to go back to where I came from wrong city.. Something needs to be done about this. Now. I feel threatened to even go to that establishment. This was completely uncalled for and crazy. People need to learn what customer service is. I'm going to keep going there. Because I have a right to. I should not feel threatened by your unprofessional workers. Sorry I hate to do this but I have lived here a long time. And this has never happened I left crying this was unreal.

So yesterday I went in this store..I had a trunk or treat.i ask the lady for the coupon she said I had to download the app told her I was rushing could she just give me the coupons cuz my phone was in the car she said no.soo I put my stuff on the counter an went to get my phone ..I heard her talking smack for no reason ..I asked her y she being ghetto an unprofessional..she said cuz one of the bags of candy hit her hand....I said wood this counter is super small..he got loud screaming I told her I'm not a kid quit yelling ...I will never spend my money here no more

Bought 2 foods items, planters peanuts and veggies straw (chips). Got home both expired. Nuts expired in August of 2023, chips expired in October 2023. It's almost February of 2024. This is a manager issue, someone should be responsible for making sure expiring items are pulled of the selves monthly. Last time I visit dollar general.

The hours on Google say they open at 8am. It's 8:14 and the bars are still down AND there's no answer when you call. You can't even open the store ON TIME? Unacceptable. This wouldn't happen in the suburbs and Im.notmputting up with it in my neighborhood. I will be calling corporate repeatedly.
