Tried to use my home protection coverage which I pay extra for and they denied me service stating that it would void my furnace warranty if they sent someone out. I have a 90 yr old In Home and they denied service for some B. S. Excuse even stating that they couldn't come out til Saturday which is 4 days away and they are supposed to prioritize senior services as an immediate service call which is stated on their Web site. They did not Set up an appointment for me and I had to seek out services from the original installers. They came out same day, DTE HPP is a rip off and they do not service their customers when customers pay for said services. Complete rip off, will cancel service once I get the opportunity, would not recommend service since they don't honor their contract.

Power line has been down for four days…called a bunch of times. No estimate of repair time. Ever. Was told by three different customer service representatives that they would send a crew out ASAP. “Crew” came out last night at midnight and all they did was caution tape off my yard…what a joke of a company. 99% of customers have power right now. Why isn’t my line fixed?! Thank god it’s not a live wire or someone definitely would have died by now.

The worst for profit only useless company ever! Why has my power been out since 11pm and there’s no ETA? Disgusting. Then charging outrageous prices each month. Heres a tip FIX the ISSUE so when there is a storm people don’t lose power. Hire the correct amount of people so people aren’t waiting days for power restoration. I work remotely and you are messing with my money. I hate this company. Are y’all paying for peoples hotel rooms? Lower everyone’s bills to accommodate how below mediocre DTE is.

DTE is lowering their numbers to make their service seem more reliable. My entire area is without power and they state that only 5 people are without power in my area. It’s clear that there are hundreds upon hundreds without power in my area alone. In addition, their system gives no clear timeframe as to when the service will be restored. I will be seeking out alternatives if they exist and will seek and support legislation that will change the monopoly and poor business practices that they engage in.

Literally a joke of a company. Notice how they have not responded to one 1 star review even insinuating that they care about their customers whatsoever? Yeah, that sounds about right! I have been living in metro detroit for 3 months, and my power has gone out at least once a month. It’s like at the slightest blow of wind the power goes out. Then, it takes them up to 2 days to restore it. Not to mention DTE is OUTRAGEOUS. My bill was $200 for less than one month and I didn’t even have power for the whole month! A complete and utter joke of a company. They should be sued and the state should not allow such an atrocious company to provide power to the most populous county in the state. Literally awful. I could probably run a better electric company by myself as a 22 year old than these fools.

Two weekends back to back y'all knew them storms was coming it's now been 12 hours since the power went out and y'all still don't have a restoration time or even an estimate We pay hundreds of thousands of dollars every month for electric as customers and you will leave us in the dark and offer us a $25 credit on our bill!!???!!!!! Nah this ain't right it's time for a class action lawsuit against these people they have lost respect for their customers that keep them alive. Their call center is in the Commonwealth building in Jackson Michigan also.

If I had a choice, I would choose to have another company supply my electricity. The problem is that DTE is a monopoly.Too many people are forced to rely on DTE. They gave me a hard time putting my account in my maiden name after my divorce.

Negative starts? Thanks DTE for disconnecting your phones during a MAJOR power outage!! We haven't had power for 5 days with freezing temperatures. Our estimate keeps getting pushed out. Lost all our food, our house is freezing and can't talk to anyone

Wish I could give a zero 2nd time they took my power down to fix another outage in the area the only thing is that they take their time restoring it DTE should pay for my food hotel and water bill I have to leave on so my pipes don't freeze
