I love this place. Please try their cognac wines--absolutely delicious! And it's *the* black-owned wine shoppe here in Detroit.

Ok I went for the $75 brunch which sounded like a awesome idea! So the mimosas are unlimited which is great, however, they did not have pasta, potatoes or shrimp for the grits, fruit for the French toast & the wings were the 6 piece you get from Coney Island, cognac infused berries were in your juice for Mimosas. The setting is group style. Great music selection. I wasn’t satisfied for the food portion.

I stopped in last week to purchase a bottle and had a really blah experience. I knew more about wine than the owner. Which isn’t a problem, but she was giving me inaccurate information about grape and region, not knowing that I am a sommelier. When I corrected her, she proceeded to tell me I was wrong. At that point, I let her have the win. They had a pretty decent selection, but couldn’t tell you much about anything (outside of what was on the label). If you’re really into wine, this isn’t the place to go. Definitely could be a great start for beginner wine drinker. Too, I try my best to support Black business, but the poor customer service makes it really hard. I was barely greeted; employee and owner were more into what was happening on social media.

A vibe with a great playlist. It's also Black-owned. The Moscato D'Asti is delicious.

House of Pure Vin is a Detroit gem. Located on Woodward in Downtown Detroit across from the Shinola Hotel. The Sunday Wine Brunch is OUTSTANDING! Live entertainment, delicious food, great staff and the cherry on top....it's BLACK OWNED & OPERATED. You can sip your Sunday Mimosas while watching both street and side walk traffic pass by with wonderful music as your backdrop. HoPV has an eclectic wine selection for purchase. Come support this amazing Detroit Business.

Very nice selection of fine wine of all price ranges. Great tasting events with a nice pairing of food and wine. I always have the best time here and there bottomless mimosa brunches are really top tier ??. As you can see, my friends and I had a great time! We always come back and if you can become a member of their amazing wine club!

I had a VERY disappointing experience at this wine shop. I tried visiting multiple times in the hopes of purchasing some wine, but each visit left me more frustrated and disillusioned.During my first attempt to shop here, I was greeted with rudeness that was beyond comprehension. It felt as if I had walked into someone's private property, rather than a place of business. The staff shooed me out without even asking if I needed assistance or offering any form of help.Hoping that my first encounter was just an unfortunate fluke, I returned to the shop on subsequent occasions. Unfortunately, the situation did not improve. Not only was the service consistently abysmal, but they also seemed to be consistently out of stock of the wine I was interested in purchasing. To add to my frustration, there was a complete absence of store personnel on multiple visits. It's one thing to have a bad customer service experience, but it's a whole other level of disappointment when you can't even find someone to assist you with your purchase.Overall, my experiences at this wine shop were incredibly disheartening. I came in with the intention of making a purchase and left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and empty-handed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant wine shopping experience. Save yourself the hassle and find a different shop that values its customers and keeps its shelves stocked.

I love this place! Diverse and delicious selection of wine. I love that I could purchase a tasting card and just scan and pour to my heart's content. I enjoy getting to try a variety. Multiple seating areas and nicely spread out. It's much larger inside than it looks from the outside. Very clean. Excellent and friendly service. They offer food options in the evening. Since I came during the day, I wasn't able to to try any food, so I'll have to return some evening and enjoy their charcuterie board.I could definitely see myself being a regular here.

It was such a pleasure coming in today! I found it through searching wine shops from Nashville and was so excited to check it out in person. Regina had a great selection and I’m excited to try them back home in Nashville. I’ll be back again! Highly recommend checking it out!

My friends and I decided to try out the happy hour that has recently been advertised. All of the flyers and post indicate 6pm - 10pm. We arrived around 7:45 pm and were told we had to buy at least $25 worth of wine tastings to join happy hour. This isn't listed anywhere but no worries. Purchase the $25 and head back to the tasting room. There are 6 machines holding multiple bottles each. The young man helping us advised none of the white or rose wines were available because the machines were out of gas to work them. They only had dry or sweet red. I stated I don't drink red so can I just get my money back, since no one told us at the front counter that 1/2 of the wines aren't available. He asked what type of white wine I like and came back with a bottle of black girl magic Riesling and said since you can't taste them you can just buy this bottle and use your $25. This defeated the purpose of coming to a "tasting" but my friend wanted to stay and drink reds so I agreed. When she went to get a 2nd glass of the wine she purchased for $9 it was now showing at almost $15 for the glass. The staff member stated oh yea happy hour ends at 8pm so all pricing goes back to full price. Again, this wasn't listed anywhere or explained when we purchased at 7:45pm. The music is great but the staff needs to work on communicating how things work prior to completing a sale.
