Our little pittie, Appa, graduated today and we get to start group classes now. Even after the very first day of training we could see improvement with her manners, reactivity, and confidence. We really appreciate how responsive and personable everyone is. We’re so happy and amazed with the sit means sit program and the awesome trainers, Erika and Audra!

When we started training with Sit Means Sit in October 2024 our then 3-year-old Susie *could not* contain her excitement around people or other dogs. I couldn't walk her without getting leash burns on my hand.
Now it's July 2025. We saw improvement in Susie's self-control and in our communication with her almost immediately, but I didn't quite realize just how far she's come until today. We went to PetSmart on my lunch break today.
Susie walked calmly past people and other dogs, even when the other dogs were excited. Absolutely no pressure on the leash. She was still all wiggly and happy when I allowed her to interact with people at the store, but came right back to heel when I called her. All of this without tapping! (IYKYK)
I cannot recommend Sit Means Sit highly enough, and the next dog we get will be training with them from the start!

We have a 10 month old mixed breed dog that was out of control. After only a couple months training with Sit Means Sit things have completely turned around. The level of guidance, patience and encouragement from Sit Means Sit is exactly what we needed with our pup. It’s an ongoing process and we are continuing to work hard all with the excellent care and continuous assistance we’re receiving from Sit Means Sit! Thank you much Audra & Erika you’re wonderful

When we added a second rescue doodle to the family, I knew I needed help making sure she was trained properly so we could continue being a BYOD family.
I discovered Sit Means Sit when I drove by and saw a sign. I called and had an intake scheduled quickly. They took so much time with us to answer questions and align expectations.
I noticed a difference in my 8 month old foods behavior after the very first class. By working with me and my dood at the end of class, they ensured that I built confidence working with my dog. Now, I'm confident training and I have a dog who knows basic commands and who I can take on family outings.
This training is well worth it! I enjoy working with my pup at home and have received compliments on how well my food listens. This was good for our dog and great for my family!! The investment secured peace of mind!!

Jack is a large 5 year old rescue dog that had developed some behaviors that were very alarming. There were times when he would lunge and bark at sidewalk passerbys (especially bikers) and noisy vehicles on the roadway. There was also one dog in the neighborhood that he would aggressively react to. He was uncontrollable at these times. Since we walk several times a day in the neighbored, this was unacceptable. I looked at several dog training and trainer companies offered on the internet and decided Sit Means Sit looked like the best fit.
I contacted Audra and she arranged an interview and assessed Jack for training. She diagnosed him as a reactive dog and prescribed a training program for him. I have to admit, the price made me question if it made sense.
We have now finished 5 individual and three group sessions with Erica. She is great with dogs, but also with people too. I am completely satisfied that this was (and still is) the best training program for Jack and me. We have conquered most of his anxieties and I am confident I can control and calm him on our walks.

We have been going to sit means sit for over a year and our once reactive dog is much more manageable and less reactive. We continue to go to the weekly group classes and continue to make progress thanks to their guidance and help.

We are so impressed and grateful for what Audra, Erica and team have accomplished over the last six or so weeks with our dog. She had a lot of anxiety and energy. She barked uncontrollably at any dog who would walk past our house. She got loose many times and ran until she was exhausted. Last fall she got out in the evening and was hit by a car. We decided we had to do something with her and heard about SitMeansSit. She is now so obedient and doesn’t bark at dogs. The knowledge they have shown and their methods have completely changed our dogs behavior and we are forever grateful to this team. We couldn’t recommend them more highly. It has been an investment that has been a great success story!

We set up to leave our Shepherd mix for the day and then come back in the afternoon for owner training. It is amazing how much they have taught her after two lessons. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit of DeWitt

I’ll admit, I was nervous to try this training because of the cost and the use of the e-collar. But after reading reviews, meeting Audra, and hearing about what was possible with our puppy, I decided to try it. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my pup and my family. She was about 7 months old and a typical, high energy Aussiedoodle. With Erica (the primary trainer) she learned to listen, stay in place, and heel among other things. Walking her significantly changed and was much easier even when not in heel. The pulling has ceased and it is GREAT! I can finally take her to places like Michigan beach towns, markets, and festivals. My favorite command is place. We can now have company over without a ball of fur jumping up on them and scratching their legs. I continue to be amazed with the progress she’s made and will remain dedicated to her training. If you’re willing to put in the work (repetitions), and dedicate the time up front, then Audra and Erica have the knowledge and experience to get you and your pup on track.I’ve also gotta add that my pup chewed up her remote that goes with the collar and it was so easy to get a replacement mailed to me FREE OF CHARGE!Unfortunately we are relocating and will miss Erica and the other dogs and owners we got to know during our Saturday classes. But we loved the training so much that we will continue with the company our new city and also have our new pup trained there. Thanks for everything, Audra and Erica. You’ve improved the quality of our family life.

Sit Means Sit has brought peace to our family. We have a 110lb bernedoodle that didn't realize his size. Our fear was that his would injury someone with his inability to control his excitement due to his size. The first week, Sit Means Sit, taught my dog manners and completely changed our lives forever! Hands down worth every penny and would recommend to anyone to use Sit Means Sit for their dog training needs.
