Will go back again & again.
Came in yesterday after i was highly suspect of a $4,000 quote from a tire shop i normally would go to. All i needed was a tire rotation and they slapped me with a 4k+ estimate claiming all these things wrong with my car. Front and rear struts, tie rods, sway bar links, ect. I knew right off the bat this couldn't be right
Came to Hartman on a whim and all i actually needed was front brakes and rotors. Nothing else was wrong with my car.
100% recommend and they got me in and out in about an hour. Couldn't be more happy.

Just want to give a shout out Thomas Hartman at Hartman Auto in Dowagiac… I have had the worst week of my life quite possibly, and your kindness and willingness to help me with at least one obstacle made all the difference. I can’t recommend Hartman Auto Service enough. Tom and the team are honest, dependable, and incredibly fair with their pricing. I brought my car in thinking it might be a bigger issue, and they had it fixed the same day for a very reasonable price. I really appreciate finding a mechanic I can trust—Hartman’s is the only place I’ll go from now on. Thanks again, Tom!

This auto repair shop is top notch! I walked in after 3:30 to have my brakes looked at figuring it would be a week or so. I left with new rear brakes at a very decent price! I will definitely have them do more work in the future. Thank you Hartman auto service.

Can’t recommend these guys enough. My first time with them today and these guys very much care about the people they do stuff for. I normally do all my own automotive stuff but I ran into something I could not figure out. I called them up and they got me right in and stuck after the problem testing theory after theory until they were able to figure it out. This should be your next mechanic shop.

Tom Hartman and crew are unbelievable. They help my mother for free and that doesn’t just happen. She’s now the lady went down there and didn’t have much money. Mr. Tom fixed her windshield wipers for free and he’s a very busy man in our community to watch it this is just one story of many. I’ve witnessed it myself of his kindness and his expertise. He might be the best mechanic I ever come across Hartman’s auto Dowagiac Michigan. That’s the place to be.

Coming back to Dowagiac for an afternoon and car started misfiring. Stopped into Hartmans and they were BUSY but knew I was 3 hours away from home and dropped everything to help and fix my vehicle. Super friendly, fast and efficient. I recommend them and give 5 stars! Tom and all of his staff were fantastic!
