I think in a few years this place will be nice. Grass was just too long and it made it really difficult. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Very nice course. Wish I could have done all 18 holes but the first 9 were great!

Course was horrible, there weren’t any fairways or grass at all to be blatantly honest. All the grass was either dead or patchy full of hard dirt. The maintenance crew seemed to not care at all a out the conditions of the course. The only good thing about this course is the older lady who was super nice and helpful!

This is a golf course in the middle of its rebirth! Great location, fantastic layout, and superb elevation changes. The course had a few years of being closed, but now the re-emergence of beauty has taken hold. It's a great course cut out of a hilly and wooded patch of Michigan. It has very scorable holes, and the fact that it's newly recut it doesn't have the great split a divided fairway and rough grass. But it's really fun and not very busy. Best of all, you're looking at $28 for a round of 18 with a cart to drive. With all that I can't give it 5 stars but the four has tons of potential to reach up and grab that 5 soon.

My wife and I are new to the area and were pleased to find this course quite close to where we now live. Although still in a restoration phase from past neglect, it is continually improving and it’s clear that there is total commitment by the owners to bring it back to full potential. It is a beautiful course with rolling hills and an interesting layout and has a very friendly and accommodating staff.

Really enjoy golfing at Spruce Ridge! The owners are very nice & try to accommodate everyone as best they can. They've only had the course 4-5 years & are trying to bring it back from neglect. The prior owner lost the liquor license, so they allow you to bring your own alcohol (no glass please). It's 18 holes on over 100 acres, so there are some nice long holes to play. Not pretentious at all & you can have alot of fun ! Our group of ladies from Chicago (abt 13 of us this year) have been coming for over 20 some years (we rent the big house next door) and we LOVE it !! Best deal around & good for experienced & new golfers !!

Terrible customer service. New players my brothers never even been golfing so we're teaching them spent 100 to play 18 holes not even started hole 10 and THE OWNER comes up trying to tell us we need to hurry up and then when I said we could just go since we just finished are 9th hole said I'd like the other half of money back and the guy has the nerve to say no refunds hurry up. Will never be coming back here.

Course is cool but lacks maintenence. It's recovering from neglect. I like it because it's still fun and traffic is lite!

Used to play our league here. I'd heard that it closed but then was part of a scramble that was played at Spruce. The challenge here is risk vs. reward. The course isn't terribly long but demands that you be straight. For longer hitters the Par 4's are drivable for the most part. However, if you aren't straight, you can go from a birdie / par chance to a double in a single shot. The greens are more challenging than a lot public courses. Lots of breaks you really have to read. Despite being at the end of 12 scorching days, the course was not burned out in the least. Very well kept and maintained. If you're in the area and want to play a great round of Michigan golf, I'd definitely recommend Spruce Ridge.

3.7 is acceptable taking all things into account; greens improving dramatically fewer leagues, ease of access/T times, competitive pricing, pleasant staff. Fairways need more attention.

The staff is friendly and the course layout is nice. They have done a good job bringing the course back after it sat vacant.

Had a super time out on the course. The greens are in solid shape, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Management is A number one. It has 18 holes, I'm confident that you'd have a great time by yourself, or with friends out here.
