“We've gone to Portland Veterinary for years and loved the previous owners who have now retired. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bethany Opperman for the first time today with our newest adopted fur baby and she's equally wonderful which makes sense as I found out that the previous owners are her parents. The apple seems to have not fallen far from the tree in the best of ways! She was very caring with our pup, thorough and had wonderful suggestions for efficiency with feeding measurements in a busy household and with dental care. Doris was our vet tech and she also had wonderful suggestions for money saving options for the heart guard I asked about. Would highly recommend Portland Veterinary Service.”
“Dr. Katie Collier is an amazing equine vet! She genuinely cares about your horse's health and well-being. She attends as many continuing education seminars/clinics/classes as she can to stay up to date with the ever-evolving knowledge as it pertains to the horse's mind and body. I can't say enough about her or her vet tech, Sara.”
“My pets have been here for approx 15 years now--maybe more. The staff is always on top of things. The vets know their stuff. They always give you the information you need to make decisions. They're willing to meet you at your level (when I ask more questions, they'll go deeper/be more specific). Prices are good and seem relatively static. I used to take my pets to TSC for regular vaccines as that Saturday opening was useful and I still prefer euthanasia services at home, but I like this place a lot and trust them completely.”

“They are amazing for both my boys I have a 15 and 12yr old and they have been absolutely wonderful and made sure we knew about benefits I didn’t ever realize we had with our optimum wellness plan and are proactive in helping us keep our old men up to date on everything. They help us find solutions within our price point. They have taken such good care of us. I have been to 3 different Banfields and this is the one!!!!!!! They are the best Banfield in Michigan we drive an hour to come see them. The vet techs are the sweetest people and the front desk is very understanding/helpful + the doctors are wonderful. Dr. Shalagin recently did a neuter on our 15 year old and everything went wonderful he is all healed up. She gave us a phone call during the surgery to let us know how he was doing and let us know as soon as he was done so we could bring him home as soon as possible. They are amazing and they love my boys💕🐾”
