“I checked out SCENE Metrospace a few weeks back with a friend to go see a band he knew about. Well, I don't think the band ever showed up (we left by that point), but I did get to check out the facility. The building that the gallery is in used to be part of Citizens Bank and it's evident - they left the big safe with the turnwheel intact. The current exhibit is "They Die In Pictures" and the gallery features contemporary art, including fashion, music, photography, paintings and the like. The only thing that bothers me about the space is that it's too stark - too open. there were plenty of things to look at on the walls, but there was something missing that would have given it that real gallery feel. By no means should it be cluttered, but it needs something else. I'm deejaying here for the East Lansing Art festival/Hip-Hop appreciation weekend, so that should be cool”

The prices are extremely reasonable and the work is impeccable so if you can "PAY IN CASH" so this local spot can avoid the credit card fees for processing. The price you are quoted includes tax so it's just right to pay in cash.Our family will be bringing more pieces for restoration.
