Always spends so much cause everything is cute!*Update: Everytime I try to "sell" them anything... I know for a fact they don't even go through it or look at 90%. I've watched them before, and at the end of their process (which took literally 5 mins for 4 huge totes... Way too fast) they only wanted to buy a dollar store wristlet.... Seriously, a dollar general wristlet. When I had over 20 brand new items in there from kohl's, plus others like forever 21, ambercrombie and American eagle, all were from current season and done I even just bought from them a couple weeks before and all still had the tags on them. But they didn't even look at them because I watched them try to act like they went through my stuff and they looked over some of the things that they said that they needed at the buyback, structured purses, high-waisted jeans, winter apparel and shoes... All of which I had brand new even current season name brand in those totes and they didn't even look at them to see. I'd rather go to the Jackson Plato's closet because they actually take the time to look through the clothes plus they have a better selection of clothes and shoes to begin with.

I always find something here. My only criticism is that they spray the clothes with a ton of febreeze or other fabric refresher. Difficult for those who are sensitive to strong smells (which can trigger migraines). Have to wash the clothes a few times separately before the smell washes out.

Often find nice shirts and jeans here. My daughters get most of their clothes here or at the Jackson store.

I have no disrespect towards the store but when you take stuff in and walk around waiting for them to finish and they have shoes that are worn out and dirty and not in the best condition. Gave them new shoes in good condition and they said that they can’t take them. How does it make any sense

A compete rip off! 18 items for $64.50 really! I took new boots and new shoes to these people. They never showed me all the stuff they purchased from me until I got home and noticed stuff was missing. Don’t waste your time. If you have new stuff sell it on line, you will be way better off. Never again!!!!

Stopped in at Plato's Closet on E Grand River this morning with my wife and younest daughter and all I can say is WOW. The Manager Nancy gave us some of the BEST Guest service I've received on my 4 years in Lansing truly and made my Anniversary Morning one to remember. Thank you Nancy. You're a True Gem.

The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is welcoming! Allthings are organized with those hidden gems through out! I popped in for some wedding shoes and within 13 minutes I was able to find a perfect pair and pay 5x less than the cost it would have been at another store. Employees are outstanding in their field! They genuinely understand the world of Platos Closet!

Nice to sell my used clothes but disorganized staff and rude cashier. I dropped off my goods (1.5 hour wait on a Sunday which is understandable.) I selected 2 items to buy and they held it for me in their mess of an area. I was going to apply the 2 items to my total of what they'd be paying me. I come back 2 hours later and they misplaced the items I held. (Not surprised.) That's unfortunate because you have to search and dig when you shop second hand stores but oh well. Not their problem right? It wasn't meant to be. The cashier must've been annoyed because she literally threw the receipt at me to sign off my items. So rude. I was close to saying something about the receipt being thrown at me but there was a line & maybe she had a bad day. I tried to give her an extra dollar so I could get even bills back. (129 + 1 = 130) and she didn't understand. This is what you get when you do business at stores with staff who were born in 2000 or later, many (not all) don't have customer service or know how to calculate change. Come here to sell your clothes but don't expect good service, organization or friendliness.

I had so much fun shopping at Platos recently! I went in with specific things in mind, and not only did I find what I was looking for, but I also found so many more options!! I was prepared to spend $$$ on what I was looking for but it was all wonderfully priced! (One of the cutest tops I bought was literally $3). I’ll have to keep going back because it’s definitely cute on a budget.

Not sure how long they've been in their new location, but the Store is nice. There are plenty of nice items to look through. The Staff is also friendly.

Workers were very rude. Will not be coming back to this location for a long time. Very bad experience!

One of my favorite places to shop refurbished clothing! Love that every time I come in there is always something new.

I hate writing a bad review but I'm disappointed to what this store use to be like. I use to LOVE shopping here, leave with full bags & getting a great deal! However, the last few times I've walked out purchasing absolutely nothing. The items are very overpriced for the style it is or shall I say (not stylish) or the "worn condition" that it's in. I'd rather go to the actual store of Adidas, Lululemon or Macy's, etc..& purchase the items at full price. The picture I took is the same sweater I purchased from Marshall's for $8.00 & they're selling it for $12.00 without the original tags, so it's used. Com'mon we should be getting deal here. Ridiculous! I'll probably check back in a year to see if things have changed. The 2 stars is for their friendly customer service and the store being clean & organized! --I could be wrong, but I feel after they take some of your clothes for money, the extra clothes they (don't donate), they end up selling it there anyways. Which is why they have a lot of unstylish & very used condition clothes for sale. Again, that's just my thought...I could be wrong, but that's what it seems like.

Recently went in to look around at the clothes! I don't really thrift often, but I loved my experience and the clothes there! I was able to find dresses and shirts that would retail for well over $30 and found them for under $15! Mai was really helpful and complimented the items I chose which boosted my self esteem!
