The recent lights on the tennis courts are terrible, they are too dim and pose hazards on the court of being struck by random tennis balls. Its a disgrace that the tennis program does not listen to feedback from its members which has resulted in a drain of members towards court one where there is less red tape and barriers between management and members

2 stars because there are some good things, but the quality had declined substantially over the 5 years I was a member. The good:- Nice workout area. machines were usually in good repair.- While I never used the tennis or basketball courts they seemed great. The bad:-The childrens programming is terrible. there are virtually no inclusive classes for kids and very few for an additional fee. a no additional cost kids yoga or tumbling or something would have been great.-Deferred maintenance went on for years. the mens hot tub was out of commission for over a year. we get emails every few months saying "soon" but nothing changed.-New locker policy requiring suits in the locker room hot tub and cold splash are ridiculous.-When we first joined, tons of amenities were included, free coffee, hair products, razors. Most of that was gone after covid. The free coffee is being replaced by a not free starbucks.Another commenter mentioned that the limited leisure pool was regularly being used for water aerobics, kicking the kids out. this is absolutely true and infuriating. there are 3 other pools that are for the older members. let the kids have their pool. there isnt much else for them thereAnd speaking of the pool, after covid the ours were completely unreliable. i get that staffing is a problem but make a schedule you can stick to and stick to it. It was very frustrating to get everyone ready, drive across town only to find out it was closed.and all this while rates kept going up.I was very sad to cancel my membership because I loved what it was when I first joined. the way it is now, you are better off saving a 100 a month and just go to the YMCA. there isnt much difference these days.

This is one of the nicest facilities in the area - it is HUGE. They offer a wide variety of classes, and diverse sporting equipment and courts. Everything has always been relatively clean and the staff has been friendly and helpful whenever we have interacted with them. I love that there is a cafe and Starbucks onsite.

Amazing gym with awesome facilities with a men's and women's only hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna and steam room. Thank you Mavrick for making it easy to become a member of the gym.

They will close the entire outdoor kiddie pool for the Water Aerobics ladies because they don't want to get splashed! The horror! Getting wet in a pool while exercising????!!! The pool is roped off so the kids won't even be able to get to them but they don't care. They will close an ENTIRE pool for a handful of members yet in the lap lanes they are PROHIBTING butterfly stroke, breaststroke, and sidestroke if the unknown person assigned in your lap lane is inexperienced. Messaging them gets the response "get over it." This needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. You are abusing your members. This club isn't worth the $100+ they leech out of you.

Been a member for a couple months and it seems things just don’t add up.I’m not sure how they can charge so much when the “amenities” are always in repair or closed for staffing or just in bad dirty shape. The front entrance closed for updating which is mind boggling considering how many other things needed updating worse. The locker rooms for example are dark dingy and dusty. During this closure I had been getting used to using the pol pavilion for entry. Well if the pool is closed, even though there is staff out at the pavilion they won’t let you walk on the pools deck to get inside. Parking lot is ok though…smhThe staff doesn’t seem to have any real leadership and always congregates near the pool in the back folding towels. They should be in the fitness area enforcing rules for racking weights and organizing the equipment. The locker rooms are full of old men that never have clothes on. I get it, it’s a locker room. But there are posted rules that swim west is required when using the hot tub and cold plunge but the staff is too busy to enforce those rules and spend their time not cleaning. You’d think the managers would be making rounds and ensuring things are being kept. It’s just not well managed. The amenities would be amazing if they kept up with with them. Leadership needs to take some ownership and keep the discipline. One of the basketball courts has been damaged with cones around it for months with no signs that it will ever be repaired.Management should get away from the lee desks and take a look around the place. Not worth the money so far.

My favorite part of the MAC is the dead-eye looks you get from the staff as they manage to make you feel like trash for asking questions. That and the fact multiple things are always broken. Sometimes I feel like my family has a membership just so we can experience being treated like an inconvenience for $150+ a month. Maybe give your staff some sand to start blowing in your members eyes randomly, MAC? Seems like your staff would love that and it might be a step up in treatment for the members.

Your Aquatics Program is DISGUSTING. Let’s just focus on one of many problems. Your listed time for the Outdoor Leisure Pool does not match the information given by your "Head Life Guard" nor your front desk staff nor Gunner your Aquatics Director (I understand he's fired and will be gone soon. Reimburse your members for how badly he messed up for the last year+). When we call for pool schedules, we expect the staff telling us is correct and we won't arrive to being told that information was wrong and 3+ excuses why (2 turned out to be a lie, thanks "Head Life Guard!"). Can we get open and clear information about your Aquatics or can you reimburse those of us that have wasted several days and drives due to staff misinformation and inconsistency? I'll be posting this other places until we can get some responsibility taken on the MACs half.If they want, I can get into how they’re failing the Aquatics Department in a variety of ways and we need to demand reimbursement. This is gross, the MAC.

It's where we go for our medical doctor. There are many different things there such as medical equipment fitting, some rehab programs I think. Not sure what else. However the building itself is terrible if you're in a wheelchair. Threshold in is so unlevel that we had a terrible time trying to get over it. Several HEAVY interior doors do not have automatic openers?! If you don't have another person with you you'd have to call someone for assistance. And the doors with sensor openers don't usually work. Not disabled accessible in my opinion.

Amazing. I’m a GAC member so I get one free day a week here, and my friend goes to MSU so whenever I visit I have the opportunity to use this facility. It’s massive, bigger than GAC. Staff is great, and I’ve never had a problem in the dozen or so times I’ve been. Super clean, awesome facilities, perfect gym.

This place is always nice. The only issue I have has been the fact that they reduced their hours during COVID and used it as an excuse to never go back to the original hours. When you message the management they are careless and basically respond with we don’t care what you think type of deal.

I am sharing this approximately 3 years after I graduated from State. There are times I still think about this gym. I live in Los Angeles and nothing compares. I love and miss you MAC.

Unfortunately I need to change my review. The MAC is no longer my happy place. I wrote an honest review to the annual member survey and got slammed, getting told my opinion didn't matter. I just don't understand why you do a survey if you don't appreciate the answers.I am joining the ranks of the long term members that go and complain about everything, until I find a new club to join.
