Very knowledgeable staff - small town attention - every customer counts and you don’t feel like a number! My hairdresser Katy recommended a particular stain for my deck, I was using a e-gift card from my cash back platform - the cashier has to type the number in - so polite & courteous! This place is great!
I drive from Charlotte, because the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you. Best Ace in Eaton County. Believe me , been to several within 15 miles.

They have a wide selection of products, plenty of people working, but I'm a younger male, and I feel at times the workers are rude/not pleasant with the customer because of them being younger.

My husband and I appreciate the fact that we have an Ace Hardware in our town and don’t have to drive to Lansing when we are in the middle of a project. Given the fact that they are a local hardware, their prices are pretty competitive and sometimes even lower than the bigger stores. Yes some things are pricier but I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to pay a little extra for the convenience of having them 5 minutes away. You do get what you pay for and they offer a friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & full staff and offer plenty of help when you need it. I never go anywhere else for paint. They sell top quality paints accompanied by people who know their stuff and again, it’s 5 minutes away. It’s wonderful to ask questions and get the answers or solutions you need. I don’t even bother to ask questions at a big box store because I know I’ll just get that deer in the headlight look. Best of all, they treat their customers with respect. I do a lot of my own DIY and as a female, have been asked in other stores, if I was “getting my honey-do list ready” or just treated like I couldn’t possibly have a clue what I was doing at all. The people at Ace have always treated me with respect and and never assume I am not the one doing the work and I appreciate that.They understand their market is a diverse community.
They also have a surprising amount of inventory for the size of their store. You just wouldn’t expect certain things to be available and they almost always are. I can’t say enough about them and hope they just keep doing what they are doing!
